    Oh, I see.

    Bafang CST or BPM

Yes, no, well sort of. They now have an extra item that you can order, which is called 'Extra Shipping Cost Or Other Cost'. I ordered one. It was 1 USD. I assumed that it added a specific dellivery ammount. Apparently it ensures that it's sent by TNT. Total shipping cost was over 400 USD. I...

    Bafang CST or BPM

OK, that's two complete CST rear kits ordered, with 20ah batteries, S12P controllers, displays, and a pile of bits n bobs. With luck it'll be here before Xmas.

    Bafang CST or BPM

Thanks for the opinions chaps. I will probably go with the s12p and display then.

    Bafang CST or BPM

So it looks like the KU 123 would be the best option then?

    Bafang CST or BPM

I'm not all that bothered about the how good the pedal assist is, but I do want to be able to run up to 29 amps. So I guess it's just about sensors and displays. I've only ever used sensored motors. What difference does it make?

    Bafang CST or BPM

Ok, I'm sold on the CST, thanks for your opinions. I guess the next question is KU or S series controllers?

    Bafang CST or BPM

My next two builds will both be offroaders, with pretty much identical spec. I just can't decide between the CST or BPM motors. Both mech disc brakes, hardtail MTB, front sus, alloy frames. both 24 speed. Both will be rear wheel drive on knobbly tyres, and both will have 20ah li-ion batteries...

    Tandem?

That Circe Helios is probably easy enough to electrify, and you'd get plenty of help from the guys here. 20 inch wheels, so the folding guys will have experience .

Bridge over the Clyst, Topsham, Devon

Cycled over it this morning for the first time. It has great views down the river and across the bird sanctuary.

    Front light

You need to work out what voltage your kudos lights work at. These eBay ones are 8.4v, which you will be able to get with a dc-dc converter, also available on eBay for a couple of squid. I have integrated lights on all my bikes as it's just one less thing to think about.

    Controller for Bafang SWX01

Ok, so I looked a bit closer, and disassembly was not required. Chucked it in the vice, and chopped that spigot off saving about 13mm. The wheel needs to be dished to bring it back to the middle, but with my trusty 2lb percussive adjuster I reckon it'll fit.

    Another cyclist dies in London

I would guess that applies to everything inside the M25, the M25 itself, and most of the approach roads.

20" front wheel hub motor, gearing questions !

Sorry my mistake, the BMS website was down when I tried it, so I had to guess based on prices I checked earlier in the week. Personally, I no longer deal with any trader on eBay with less than 99% feedback. Every time I have broken that rule I have been stung. Also, I don't know the quality of...

Lawnmower battery replacement - help pls !

With most batteries, as long as you exceed the self discaharge rate, and remain less than max charge rate you will be fine, although it might take longer. I once charged a 100ah leisure battery with a motorcycle float charger. It took about a month, but since I didn't need it for 6 months, that...
