Bafang like other manufacturers ar eupping their game to CANbus on mid drive and hub oem bikes also it is said bbs mid drive kits. Proprietery batteries ,controllers and displays all needed, whether we see then exit the diy market altogether is another thing.

The tsdz isn't as robust and there is a chance the motor housing can crack, that siad i'm not using the mounting block attachment as my bike doesn't allow for it to be used. Now it's fitted I shall use it till it breaks, then lob it for a nice reliable front hub motor.

Being CANbus on may need a dealer to set it up/configure it. One reason why I steer clear of any bike with CANbus systems.
