Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

The Sport TS is pretty natural, comparable to the Bosch but with less brute force than the Bosch. d8veh has already pointed out, when you climb a hill, the power maxes out fairly early, you can keep pushing on the pedal, thinking it may go up more but it doesn't - this point does not matter if...

Time to buy a new e-bike

CL sets out to buy a Kalkhoff - either the Agattu i8 (£1500) or the HS 8G (£2100) - and a few posters here are happy to encourage her to do just that. If CL has deep pockets, fine, I would not make any comment. But she's still a student, Someone ought to tell her that spending this sort of...

    Battery - controller connectors

these shrink tubes are for making your own cell packs using primatic cells. The pack is brick shaped, you choose the right model whose half diameter is a little bigger than the two sides (H + W) added together (typically 20cm half diameter for a 36V battery). Make your brick with blank PCB...

Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

it's quite flat where the Go Electric shop in North Dublin is. Not much of a challenge for any e-bikes. Do you know that you only need 200W power to ride at 25km/h on that terrain? I am not surprised that the ci Focus is at the bottom at the test. Its specification is unremarkable - how they...

    The whoosh Predictor

you can ride to Lincoln and back (66 miles) on throttle alone at 10mph, piece of cake for a 15AH battery. At 15mph: you'll need to put in a bit of pedalling but still perfectly OK. No need to bring the charger with you.

Time to buy a new e-bike

German bikes are not cheap transport. this is a question for traders on this forum: which one of you believe that a £2,000 e-bike is a cheap and reliable transport?

    Torque Sensor bike with Panieers?

I don't know. Woosh brought in some very innovative products. The only obvious point is they sell direct, so their prices are lower for that reason. Their CD range have the motor neatly 'tucked in' - neatest in fact for any crank drive. Their Big Bear is also very recommendable for heavy riders...

    The whoosh Predictor

range is given for near ideal condition, sunny, no headwind, zero gradient, rider puts in a reasonable amount of pedalling. For example, the Kalkhoff Agattu i8 HS that CL wants to buy is fitted with 36V 15AH (540WH) is quoted with a range of 100 miles in ECO mode on a full charge. That's 5.4WH...

you still have to rev up, the 10ah battery will still be heavily stressed when the motor speeds up and over its maximum current.

eZee Forza RWB City Edition Review

and the Bosch requires you to input 30% of the energy otherwise, it won't move. So when they quote range, it's usually 30% more than Chinese e-bikes with same battery capacity. The perception of superior German bikes usually comes from 'you get what you pay for'. Not always true.

eZee Forza RWB City Edition Review

I meant the bikes that do not need to be restricted are built to lower power, typically 250W-350W 8-Fun SWX whereas the ones that need to be restricted are built with bigger, heavier, more powerful motors capable of 350W-700W continuously, typically 8-Fun BPM, Ezee etc. If you limit continous...

CL, ask someone at 50cycles to put a low profile seat post on and measure the height from the ground to the top of the saddle.
