Time to buy a new e-bike

yes. The Agattu frame (46cm equivalent) are meant for 5ft10-6ft2 - the arm reach, handlebars height are made for Dutch style posture are too long/high for you. The bikes are also heavy (around 26kgs) - not recommended for you. Denwyn bought a cheap bike last year, too big for him, forced to...

Time to buy a new e-bike

you are too small to ride the Agattus. Something small like this £895 Kudos Tempo is much better: http://www.kudoscycles.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=336 Unlike the Agattus, these Chinese bikes do not need special tools, they are easily looked after by any mobile mechanic. However...

    Dapu OEM catalogue

the M206CS seems to be a DD motor, the crank drive looks awesome! must weigh a bit. I am more interested in the M155CD.

Time to buy a new e-bike

the Agattu i8 is perfectly good, the HS 8G has a more powerful motor, better at climbing steeper hills, for heavy riders. These are big bikes, you need to be 5ft10 and above to ride comfortably. The Santanas are for smaller riders (5ft3 and above). Both Agattus are low maintenance with Nexus hub...

    Dapu OEM catalogue

their CST motors look very well made. Model:M155CD - I wonder how it compares against the Bafang CST. A bit smaller than the Bafang CST though.

    Redbridge 2014,May 18,afternoon

Redbridge 2013 did not pay the sellers who attended on the day but could pay back well to those who attended a little later. For example, you took on Momentum bikes after the event didn't you?

Time to buy a new e-bike

that is swinging from one extreme to the other. I would recommend you try a £625 Woosh Santana or the £799 Santana CD then upgrade in a year or two. The Santanas do the job competently and cheaply, both have puncture resistant tyres already. Santana CD

    XiongDa Two-Speed Motor

are you going to tell xiongda about the gear noise? your pictures of the internals show surprisingly little amount of grease when much of the gearbox/clutch is made of steel.

eZee Forza RWB City Edition Review

that's not very kind to bikes that don't need to be restricted. We all know the '200W' label on the RWD is only for compliance.

    derestricting

All the Chinese bikes with LCD can easily be derestricted by this method. The maximum speed you can get to depends on the motor and battery (bigger = faster). Crank drives are also slightly faster.

    Bike for the Larger Rider?

the Big Bear has front BPM hub motor, the suspension fork protects the wheel against excessive stresses. Only rear hub motors have spokes breaking.

    Bike for the Larger Rider?

the Agattu series bikes have larger battery capacity (17AH against 15AH), better brakes, shocks, forks, gears and tyres, the Big Bear has better seat post.Torque-wise, I expect the Big Bear to be slightly better on flat roads and the Agattu better on hills. Good components cost more, both...

WANTED: Folder or Semi-Folder for large man

you'd need a crank drive. If you're also on a budget, then take a look at the £699 Woosh Zephyr CDN, one of the neatest folding bikes. It has crank drive, Nexus-3 gear. Member GloveMakingMan bought one and it's hilly where he lives...

Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

the extra 5ah adds about 1.2kg to the bike weight, rather less than the average d-lock that protects an expensive bike.

Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

frankie's budget is £700. What are the choices? two strong contenders are £699 woosh Sirocco 2 with 15ah or £695 LEBC Vita with 10.4ah. Which one would you recommend?

    Redbridge 2014,May 18,afternoon

it would even be better if more sellers are invited to attend. Redbridge 2013 was very successful because visitors could compare bikes with very different pedigrees, Tonaro, GoCycle, Momentum, BH, Ezee, Haibike 2014 won't be the same. Redbridge 2013: Redbridge 2014 only LEBC.

    let's pretend...

definitely yes, it's one of the best bikes currently on the market.

    let's pretend...

the Volt pulse has an 8-Fun motor, it looks like an 8-Fun SWXK5. The problem is low motor efficiency at low speed. The hub motor is perfectly good up to 12% gradient (12% for BPM, 10% for SWXK5), then becomes inefficient quickly for anything above. The crank drive is better in this respect. The...
