Your battery may have a faulty cell. The simplest way to find out which one it is, you'll need to ride the bike until the battery is quite flat then check the voltage of each cell. Good cells show a voltage above 3.2V, bad cells below 3V.

I understand that EN15194 allows temporary increase of power over 250W, not to be used permanently. Nothing stops end users adding a bit of solder to increase the Amps but the the suppliers who make the effort to keep the Amps low deserve to be praised.

There are quite a few tempting adverts of carbon bikes on preloved and gumtree - almost all of them have carbon forks so that rules out hub motors. Have you seen other battery suppliers besides keyde offering small 36V bottle batteries?
