ebike batt explodes in to fire ball

That's good advice, but I'm not convinced that the fire in the video was caused by a faulty battery. The guy had two batteries in parallel and lots of extra wiring and switches all stuffed into a bag. All it takes is a wire to touch.

    Ave speed reading problem

How did it start? Most LCDs have a setting for the number of magnets in the speed sensor. The setting is often 1 or 6 because that's what most motors have. Yours is probably set to 6 instead of 1, as it appears to show six times the correct speed.

    Help! Problem with Voilamart controller

Lets take a few steps back. You have a direct drive motor and presumably a 36v battery. Your 22 amp controller has a switch/setting of some sort that restricts it to 15 amps. It says on it 15amps at 250w and 22 amps at 750w. The 7 amp increase is roughly 50% above 15 amps, but 750w is 200% above...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Have you seen the proud Boys? What type of white supremacists do you think this guy is? He's an Afro-Cuban, Enrique Tarrio , their Chairman and leader. The guys next to him seem very tanned too!

Green edge bikes CS2/16 management light

The obvious first thing to check is the motor cable where it comes out of the axle. Check that it's not scraped or nicked.

Help! Haibike SDuro hard 9 battery

It most likely can't be done because the BMS does some hand-shaking with the other modules. When you bypass the output switching transistor, the BMS will have all functions except low voltage control. I think the comms must still be working if you can charge the battery because that also does...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I can't believe that an intelligent person would be fooled like that, or are you just reproducing the media spin without thinking. Either way, you're letting yourself down badly. His actual quote is, "The Proud boys stand back and stand by". He was saying that when the Proud Boys go to a Rally...

Help! Haibike SDuro hard 9 battery

It's been a while since I looked at one of these batteries, so I have to go from memory. In principle, the BMS works the same as any other, but it has its own software and comms. Like any battery, the output is switched by a some mosfets. They switch on when they get 14v on the gate (left...

Wife’s Giant Frankenstein bike (possibly Giant Escape?)

If you want to order anything from them give me a shout. It's important that you list what you want in the right way with these Chinese people. Basically, you can send Bonnie Xiong an email with your requirements or you can fill in the form in that listing. I've met her a couple of times. she's...

Wife’s Giant Frankenstein bike (possibly Giant Escape?)

Ok. Further to my post, i was looking at their website ans spotted this: Motor wheel with the desirable KT controller and LCD for $120. That's a bargain. their shipping costs are normally very reasonable too...

MATE X 750 not turning on

Measure the battery voltage on the output terminals. 0v says the output fuse is blown or you have a detached wire. Something like 10v to 20v or anything around there says that the BMS has switched off because it's detected a fault.

Wife’s Giant Frankenstein bike (possibly Giant Escape?)

It's the sort of bike that would benefit from a lightweight kit. If you want to have a go at bulding your own wheel, yoy can buy a nice motor and controller plus PAS and throrrle direct from Xiongda in China for about £150. Spokes are about £20 and you can use your present rim, so you end up...

Help! I bought Pendleton Somerby e bike from Halfords in May but no manual.

That's a brake switch fault. Unplug the brakes'electrical cables from their connectors, then plug them in one at a time to see which one is faulty. The fault should be obvious, like slack cable, savaged lever, etc.

    Does this bike exist...

There are loads of 50cc scooters. They're a bit smaller than mine, so don't have as much storage, though most can manage at least one full-size helmet under the seat plus other stuff. I can get 3 full carrier bags of shopping under my seat or two full-size helmets and one bag of shopping. You...

Hall sensor anomaly, KT-LCD5 Info 03 error code - Help Please!!

The battery display is normal. I often get that. Maybe you have to travel some distance before it updates. Probably, if you change your P5 setting to zero, it'll update immediately, then you can set P5 back to around 12. P5 affects the rate at which it updates. The higher the value, the more it...

Hall sensor anomaly, KT-LCD5 Info 03 error code - Help Please!!

Let's get some facts because things don't add up. When you short press the power button twice to show volts at the bottom of the LCD, how many volts does it show? What is the actual battery voltage by measurement with a meter? What happens when you switch on th LCD. Do amy anomalies show? Do you...
