Help! Lishui controller and LCD vs KT controller and LCD

Those controllers can just about manage 18 amps, but not for long periods; however, with the Yose hub motor in normal use, it's not possible to get the current for long periods except when going slowly up long hills because of the way motors and controllers work, so you should be OK.

    Commuting advice please

I'm not sure if Kudos are still going. You should give them (Rally Design) a call to see what they've got. The rest are much of a muchness. You could add the Wisper H9 that has 44v electrics, so 20% better on hills and the NVM Moscow, which is 10% better still. One deciding factor that many...

That's a NiMh one then rather than Lithium. If it were healthy, it would still charge to around 30v or whatever your charger voltage is.

    Oxygen E-Mate Drive Train Failure

There interchangeable as long as they're both 4 wires and wired in the correct sequence.

    Oxygen E-Mate Drive Train Failure

The brake sensor is exactly that. It just gives info to the controller's cpu that the brake is on. The CPU would then cut the motor, but you have to reset with the key. The key wouldn't affect that.

    Exploding Tyre!

I've heard of that happening too in both bike shops where I had an affiliation, and we were able to figure it out. The bike shops' delivery vans normally have a rack inside, where there's a narrow channel to put the wheel in. When the van is driving and the bike hasn't been tied properly, the...

    Exploding Tyre!

He said there were bits of rubber in the room. The only way that can happen is when the tyre bead rises above the rim to let the tube out. If the tube was somehow defective and exploded inside the tyre, the rubber would have been contained. That's simple logic

    Davy Jones

Which version is it - old or new? A photo of the panel would confirm. If it's a 790 LED display panel, high and low lights mean a brake switch fault. Unplug each in turn to find which one is faulty, then it should be obvious what's wrong with the faulty one.

Market value of an ex rental Kalkhoff Agattu 2016/17 ?

Chinese bikes are actually pretty good. The cheapest ones are a bit hit and miss, but if you buy from established brands, they're likely to be more reliable than expensive bikes with crank-motors, and they'll have very much lower running costs.

Help! Lishui controller and LCD vs KT controller and LCD

IMHO, 13 amps is nowhere near enough current at 36v to get a 17st rider up a steep hill using a Yosepower motor. the steepest short hill that it could manage when pedalling at 150w is 13% at a speed of around 6 mph. A reasonably fit person could probably manage 250w for a short time, which...

You can't get your motor to run without a cotroller. Motors are generally fairly reliable, and so are controllers. If your battery only charges to 24.5v, it's completely shagged. You need to open it up and test the cell voltages to find out what's wrong.

Market value of an ex rental Kalkhoff Agattu 2016/17 ?

About £100 to £150, which is what you'd get for the forks, brakes, gears and wheels if you sold them on Ebay, plus, you would probably get £100 for the battery and maybe £30 for the LCD if you could find buyers, who are becoming quite scarce.

    Spreading Dropouts

We're not getting far are we? Let's try again. Which 150mm motor do you have? Please don't say, "The one I bought in April".

    Spreading Dropouts

You've confused me. 13cm is 130mm, not 150mm. Why do you need to spread?

    Spreading Dropouts

Stretching the frame is not really an issue, but it brings the problem of disc alignment. There are two issues: Firstly, the drop-outs are no longer parallel, so the caliper would be at an angle to the disc; secondly, the disc will most likely be out of position laterally to the caliper. You can...

    convert throttle to pedal assist

It's impossible to say when we don't have a clue of what you've got. You said it was an Urbanmover UM44 U-Sprite - Electric bike, but that already has a PAS, as I have already shown you in the video above. Before we can help you, you'll have to figure out what you've got or why it isn't like...

    Exploding Tyre!

It's not baffling at all, and it'll probably happen again if you don't change the tyre. If it was the same shop that put the tyre on, I can perhaps understand why they're baffled, but then that makes me baffled too as to why you would want to take it back to them to fix it. As Einstein said...

Bafang CST gear replacement - HELP!

I can remember getting puzzled by that myself several years ago. That's how I knew the answer. It's like those logic puzzles - dead easy when you know the answer, and you always kick yourself when you finally figure it out.
