You need to test the motor hall sensors if it has them, not easy with the WP wiring. Can you connect up a controller that used wire block connectors ? If so then a simple hall test will tell you if they are at fault. If one doesn't have a wire block controller type then one will have to make...

Only if a TS axle can be retrofitted which I doubt. I t will need a complete rework of the engineering.

If the vengeance is a hesc hub then the motor connector is different, the stand alone controllers will be easier to make the connections needed. The integrated not so but can be done.

In general much the same. Integrated are small so use solid state and micro components, the stand alone use the box for a heat sink.

Can you not fit a chain keep as basically that is what a derailleur is. Manually check every chain link for either kink in it self or a stiff pin joint.

The pink might be the cpu power supply in the display, any broken connection is a likely reason. A good find to sort the issue out.

The safari is heavy because is it fully loaded/kitted out for touring cycling and has the heavier safer chemistry lifepo4 battery and the nexus hub gears. Once one starts with a 22/24kg bike and then starts adding a lock, lights, mudgaurds, rack and panniers it won't e far off the safari weight.
