Comms between battery and motor can only be a connection issue so if contact is good then get the dealer to check out or replace wiring between the two. A damaged or unseen broken wire or intermittent wire contact will go unseen.

Exactly as frank point out in the OP, price and a rip off. Cargo on the front is not very good one wants the weight behind esp for taller bulky stuff, those things are ok for kids and pets.

Nothing much wrong with a front hub. Motor noise may be more noticeable only because the way sound travels from the front vs the rear. As has been said wet or loose surfaces may induce wheel slip. A powerful hub may cause some torque steer. Front wheels suffer less punctures in my experience...

Slight resurrection of this thread and sadly 2 years on and no one provides a suitable low C of G frame whether front cargo or rear cargo to the market for self builds.

One can spend however much they wish to on bearings, I have no issue with my cheap £1 odd bearings and no rumblings from the hubs. Even if one does wear I see no issue with changing the item as it only takes approx. 1/2hr for me to do so.

The controller is the brains of the bike and controls the current delivery so that is likely the place to look, the motor only takes what the controller can give.

Considering you don't ride in the rain or mud, it should be spotless plus you have a fetish of opening it every week.
