    China Bashing

Thats a very big "if". The mainstream media are completely biased. Best strategy is to believe the opposite of what they say.

What type of bike will this kit fit?

There's no point in buying new because you won't be covered by warranty or dealer support. Look on EBay, Gumtree, Facebook local ads and things like that.

    length of lockdown?

It doesn't matter where it comes from, it's still fake news, like all these sort of stories.

What type of bike will this kit fit?

For those kits, you forget about wasting your money on a decent bike. They're very heavy, so the weight of the bike doesn't really matter. A steel-framed bike would be better, and disc brakes are very important. Cheap rim brakes will melt trying to stop something like that. The other other...

She's an activist. The people around me are all normal and non-political. I know who I'd believe, especially as my guys volunteered some other non-covid secrets.

I have them on all my mountain bikes. Best to tell us which kit you have, then we can advise you what to look out for.

    length of lockdown?

I'm here in a hospital surrounded by NHS staff, who are all very chatty and open. I showed them that headline and they all laughed and said," Load of pollacks" or something like that. More likely, there were some political activists working for the NHS, who told a load of lies to the Guardian...

What type of bike will this kit fit?

It's a standard 18mm rim. I've used up to 2.1" tyres on them. 1.95 is good and used to be very common on Chinese bikes with that size rim.

Don't get toothache. Your normal dentist won't drill anymore. You have to wait in agony for an referral to a specialist. Even then, they leave the repair half done with no date to finish it off.

How should I fit this PAS?

Whenever you fit a PAS, you should always test it to see which of the four permutations of side and direction work by twizzling it. Get the motor working with the throttle first, then connect the PAS and test it.

    Cracked Head

I think it's a scratch because there isn't really any way that it could get a stress to open up a crack in that location or direction.

    China Bashing

It's more a case of pragmatism. People have been predicting imminent calamities and disasters throughout our lives. I've not seen a single one realised. Life goes on. We're still here riding our bikes.

How should I fit this PAS?

It won't fit on that type of bottom bracket. You might be able to use the type that has a separate sensor that you can fix to the frame, then glue some magnets to the back of your chain wheel. You might be better off using a throttle.

Batavus 5-level PAS controller and aftermarket displays: will 3-level display fit a 5-level controller?

Nearly all 5-level ones are digital. 5 wires, two of which are Tx and Rx. A 3-level one won't work if it's analogue, which many are. A digital one will have 5 wires, but also an analogue one with lights will have 5 wires, so it's important that you look at the description and specification...

Disc brakes front hub motor conversion

Just use the cheapest postage offered. On small items, like controllers, you often get away with duty.

    Hello

Chinese hub-motor stuff doesn't matter because it's modular and cheap. You can use any battery, controller or motor you want, regardless of what you had before. It's bikes with motors as part of the frame and integrated batteries that are going to be difficult. Yes, I would stick with Shimano...
