    Throttle cable fries

If you carried out the resistance/ohms test as per the 'pdf' and got that one result then the controller is fried or certainly the mosfets are.

    Help! Battery Conundrum

No it doesn't constantly monitor or balance after charging, the common denominators are hvc during charging and lvc during discharging If a battery is way out of balance then the BMS stops play during charge or discharge, the first to hit 4.15 - 4.2v will stop any charge and during discharge...

You will have to see if this happens time after time or is just a one off .

    Help! Battery Conundrum

Yes can agree with flecc there, a remote possibility is (an unusual one at that) that the BMS allows over charge and as mentioned the slight over charge will not allow the BMS to switch the battery on until it has self bled down. Most likely scenario is a cell group is/was out of balance and...

    Help! Battery Conundrum

I have never yet had a battery act in this way, me thinks you are being fobbed off with nonsense from a salesman.

    Bafang mid drive 36V 500W 25A Bafang 8fun BBS02B mid drive error h30 firmware 48v

Sounds like the controller though worth removing the controller too check the wiring, on old models the multi sense plug used to back out or be hindered in seating by white sealant. Whether this has changed I don't know.

Help! Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit

If the stock keep current is low and certainly <40%, the hill climbing ability will be impaired. My one I bought several years ago was only set to 20% , very frugal for riding range on flat terrain but felt terrible on inclines esp on the South Downs climbing.

    Eskute voyager

It's a dual voltage controller, one will find that the bike runs better at 48v with 30% more power then 36v using the same control system. Changing the controller/display to 20a with the 36v battery will give it 25% more power, if capable one can try a shunt mod if the controller has the U...

How to seperate Hailong battery from mount?

Lubricate the mating surfaces, not many use it but spread from the fridge is super slippy and only needs a mere smear.

Help! Fiido D4S for heavy rider (145kg), and derestricting it.

Power is gained by increasing current or opting for more voltage using slightly less current, derestricting is about gaining speed.

    Throttle cable fries

Mosfets don't show out ward signs of failure one has to check for shorting via an ohms test with a meter. Regarding the rear wheel being locked. did you disconnect the controller to motor cable connector about 25cm from the axle ? Is so check the cable entry at the axle for damage or open it...

Woosh Big Bear snapped fork, needs replacing

It's not an issue we here about with the Big Bear as the fork and installation are oem for the job and designed to be so, so not like any old kit chucked on a bike. May be the anti rotation washers and torque arms weren't correctly installed or missing. I fitted the same Big Bear kit to my...

Help! Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit

Woosh give piece of mind with some very good CS, their controller s are about 17a but specs need checking to be sure.

    Enough range??

When depleted the battery will have a similar % of relevant voltage as a 48v battery as the cells are all charged to 4.2v each. All that is different is the lvc voltage is set higher because of the extra group of cells. Also to keep weight down the 48v will be about 200 -250grams lighter.

Derestricting speed just eats into the battery range more.

    Chainset folding Seago CityLite pro

Not nice to happen on a bike as we are all vulnerable and at the mercy of some of the idiots on the road, glad to hear you got off lightly as I did. Your wounds will heal and hopefully your confidence isn't too badly knocked. When I was knocked off in 2019 ( a car T- boned me ) and hit the...

    Enough range??

10ha x 52v is 520wh, for my use a 50+ mile range in PAS 1 or 2, but why 52v ? The BBS02 rpm is optimised for 48v some I think some have had issues with 52v. .
