    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think you are being overly pessimistic - every one knows that multi-billion dollar trade deals are penned out on a paper napkin at the local McJunkfood outlet. What's that you say? You want to pay in pounds sterling? Good luck with that!

    eMTB build

My external 42 tooth is fine as long as I don't try to use 1st and 2nd gear. The chainline is perfect in the top 3 gears - precialps spider and standard 104 BCD steel chainwheels. As where I live now there are some challenging slopes when commuting in white shirt and tie I have started using the...

I bet you wouldn't like the price! It will be German, 7000€ has been suggested... Newbie - Recumbent Pedlec Rider

Welcome! Coincidence has it I was looking at improving lighting to the rear yesterday afternoon as the dark season approaches. I think I shall go for b+m secula battery powered lights on both front mudguards. I am going to go the full blinker + brake light route as well eventually.

Two motorized wheels sharing the same battery

You will be hooking up two controllers to the battery and the hub motors are connected to each controller. There is no problem doing this except you will need a very powerful battery. To make one or the other or both work you just need to turn on/off the controller for the wheel in question.

    Results of cycling accident

US but EU test is similar: https://cyclingtips.com/2018/06/new-independent-test-ranks-bicycle-helmet-safety/ Note: please fall on the top of your head! As you have tested side of the head is not protected with sit on top helmets full of holes. That is why I bought a bowl style skateboard like...

    20-25mph hub drive kit?

250 W mid motor my chain is +2800 km old and starting to show signs of tiredness. Steel sprockets look fine. I honestly can't see the need for more than 350 W nominative on a commuter, even 500 W is overkill unless you live in the Alps. That motor will be going on the trike and I am going to...

    Kalkhoff Endeavour Move B9

They are very well made bikes, good looking welding. The Bosch powered ones are the correct ones to buy. You will probably want to add an NCX seat-post. Check to see if 55 mm tyres fit, you might want to upgrade in the future. Plastic mudguards might not last as long as SKS Blumels on your...

Genius Bar caught ripping customer off ON CAMERA by CBC News

Three weeks the wrong side of the end of the guarantee. My fault though, putting too much weight in, the bearings take a lot of abuse at 1,200 rpm during the spin cycle. I still have it getting on for 7 years but the bearings are on their way out again.

You are telling a man who ran Mac OS on an Atari STf with bootleg ROMs when Mac ROMs were uncrackable that he can't repair a MacBook screen because of a chip? Good luck with that! :D

I don't mind fixing things myself. You can buy parts for Apple here https://eustore.ifixit.com/en/Parts/ I haven't had a Mac in many years but I may get a Macbook next year because some software I want won't run on Linux. I am about to change my battery in my nexus 7 tablet for the second time...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You are in an optimistic mood today! The blight is still there, trust me. It was in government until a very recent time. The Basque and Catalan situations are both caused by people not being dragged before a court of justice to answer for the crimes they committed. And the Guardia continued to...

ID card for French bikes by 2020

OK so the minister for transport has said today the report is inexact: "no ID card, just marked frame". So how are they going to engrave a carbon frame? Even steel and aluminium won't like their powder coat being carved into...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

I haven't ridden a Super Moto X (yet) - the tread looks just like the Big Ben's and from what I have read they have thicker sidewalls are more of a moped tyre and s-pedelec approved. They won't fit on either of my bikes! I like the 27.5" idea, lots of s-pedelecs are using them so I would say go...

One word: "balloon" tyres. High volume commuter tyres are very comfortable and have heaps of grip. Kenda does those too but not in the sizes I need. I am running Big Ben Plus tyres in 20" and Big Ben in 26" and 28". Subjectively the rubber formula seems more sticky to the touch.

Last ditch imports before the date? I have noticed less bikes on display at Leclerc and Norauto in the recent weeks.
