    Yosepower hub kits.

They are only 5 Amp discharge rated and they can't handle 36v 15 Amp in 4P10S. Several of us have had issues with the GSM motor and 26F celled bottle batteries. My non scientific opinion is that they can't take ramping up quickly to full discharge rates and hold that discharge rate over several...

ID card for French bikes by 2020

It has come, the time of bike registration... :( In order to bring down bike theft, every bike in France is to have an ID number and accompanying card - by 2020 for new bikes and by 2021 for old ones. No number plate, but I imagine that the permanent and placed on bike to be readable marking...

    Road legal recumbent e trike

In EN15194 there is the acceptance that kits exist, for example the cut off speed has a tolerance of + or - 5% rather than 10% for factory built bikes. If you stick to the rules your trike won't be sent off to be tested unless you run down one of the queen's corgis... or something like that...

Nice story! OK bad accident for the lady but really interesting. Maybe I'd better get cracking on my fourth language then? :) Or wear a helmet? :p My GF and I speak 4 languages between us - she doesn't speak a word of English and I not a word of Basque, our common languages are French and...

Adding a bms to lipo 10s.

Cells be cells lad! :D Many of the older generation Lithium behind the seat post style batteries contain LiPo pouches and a 'normal' BMS. You can take LiPo down to an LVC of 3.3v per cell with no risk other than shorter battery life. What I like about raw LiPo is the charge times at 1C - under...

    18650 cell suppliers

The 20700 is a much better choice and becoming the future standard in cars (Tesla) because there is a minimal size/weight increase for much better energy density and they fit in existing EV battery boxes. +4000 mAh and 15 Amp discharge for 2 mm extra diameter and 5 mm length + a few grams extra...
