Oxygen eMate: is this a special rear axle nut ?

Tighten the other axle nut, then do the tight one first. The nut on the other side will stop the axle from rotating. When you have the stuck one loose, the other one should undo easily.

    Batavus Lento

Batteries that can provide more power sag less when you're taking a lot of power from them, so you get a bit more power from them in that situation. The battery current needs to reach at least what the controller demands. If you look at the controller's label, you should see its maximum...

    Batavus Lento

It looks OK, but with all the ones with that case, the fixings are at the top end, so you have to fit one or two rivnuts to your frame. I prefer the type below because they nearly always fit directly to your bottle holder fixings. It's the middle one (13AH). They offer some very good guarantees...

    Batavus Lento

It looks OK. I think you have to order the charger separately. Many of the batteries on Ebay come with chargers, so bear that in mind when considering costs.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You see what I mean. It looks like a classic case of remoaner derangement syndrome. I voted remain and the story exposes UFOs as fake!

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Back in the '80s, there was a current affairs programme called "Nationwide" on the TV (BBC) after the 18:00 news. They featured an article about UFOs seen over Warminster every Wednesday night. Many people had seen and reported them, so the BBC sent a camera crew down. Sure enough, the UFOs...

    Cyclamatic Power cutting out

If you have a 36v battery, you get a 36v throttle. If you have a 24v battery, you bet a 24v one. The only difference is when the LEDs go out. As I already said, the wires won't be the same on any throttle because the Cyclamatic has special wiring. Only a genuine Cyclamatic one will be the...

Have I got too many spacers in?

The motor is already off-set because of the length of the cassette spline, so you shouldn't fit any spacers on that side. As above, you want top gear as close as you can get it to the frame without the chain touching the frame.

    Cyclamatic Power cutting out

If you want to use the battery indicator LEDs, you must choose a 36v throttle. As I said, that throttle looks the same and fits the same, but it's different inside and has different connectors.

    Brompton forks

Take the old motor out and bolt in the new one. The axle nuts will bring them back to the right size. Mild steel doesn't suffer from metal fatigue, so the bending won't do any harm.

Ask the guy where the torque sensor is. If he doesn't know, look to see if a wire comes out anywhere around the bottom bracket.

Especially with a torque sensor, you can't air pedal. It might be worth having a close look to see how much clearance there is and what the chainline looks like. You might be able to space it outboard a bit more to give more clearance; however, all that might be a bit complicated with the torque...

Overvolting Tianjin Santroll B-WZKD3615-KA controller - possible?

If it doesn't work, I have the Santroll interface software somewhere in an old laptop that was given to me by one of the Santroll development team. I can't remember if voltage is selectable. I can remember parameters for speed and current. He also gave me a cable, which I think is a standard...

    Most expensive battery ever?

It's good to do that sometimes to see how far we've come. Have a look at this one - people getting all excited about 26v Kalkhoffs, and the same old sour grapes about illegal bikes going to bring the end of the world. It's a real shame we don't have events like that, Bristol World...

    Long range speed pedelec?

190 mpg doesn't do any harm to the environment. Cheaper, faster and more comfortable than an electric bicycle., plus cheaper running costs. If you want some exercise, you can always get off and push it the last mile. https://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/range/125cc/super-cub-c125/specifications.html

    Lightweight motors

I like the idea of wireless installation, but you'll only be able to get spare parts from Keyde, if at all. All things considered, a Q100H, sine wave controller and 20 cell 36v battery will be the same weight, but have double the power and/or a lot more range. It's likely to be more reliable...
