If changing the controller then one needs to buy a matching display, a three wire throttle should work as should a three wire pedal sensor. Though they are relatively cheap parts so in all it won't break the bank to buy them all.

Have a look at the much over looked motor to controller connector and that it is properly and firmly all the way to the raised line on on the motor side.

I think that as the kit is a Yose kit somewhere along the line they are all owned by a parent company which is likely elifebike.
