Do you own a second E-MTB??

The number of ebikes that you need is n+1, where n is the number you already have. Only you can decide what you want. A hub-motor conversion makes a nice commuter, shopper or all-round utility bike. They're generally much more user-friendly than a CD bike and you can have more power or speed if...

Someone to supply and fit electric conversion to 2 folding 20 inch wheel Dahons, within 80 miles of Dorchester?

Your bike is different. Look how his seat tube protrudes below the BB.

    Battery

Can you ride it now without cutting out? From memory, you can get the manual from the Powabyke website, but you have to register first.

Someone to supply and fit electric conversion to 2 folding 20 inch wheel Dahons, within 80 miles of Dorchester?

    1. The Bafang BBS01 probably won't fit because there is insufficient clearance around the BB due to the low seat tube.

    Ebike for me

Oxygen S-Cross ST. You can get them from Severn Valley in Telford. It's a lovely bike, praised by forum members, but no hub gears. Why do you want hub gears? Derailleur gears are trouble free.

Show us which trike you have. There a few options that give you enough torque to climb any hill whilst still being legal.

Help! Intermittent loss of motor power

4-wire PAS is quite rare. The ones I've seen didn't have the 4th wire connected inside the controller, and two identical controllers had different the signal wires connected. I doubt that the PAS is the cause of the cutting out. First thing to eliminate is the max speed cut-out at 15 mph. What...

Someone to supply and fit electric conversion to 2 folding 20 inch wheel Dahons, within 80 miles of Dorchester?

i can't find any reference to this bike "Dahon Elysse 20 inch". I also tried Elysee, which would be the correct spelling, nut still couldn't find anything. Are you sure that it's a real Dahon or have you got the name wrong? Can you show a photo?

Using KT LCD5 with Cyclotricity kit

You can use any of the KT LCDs, but only the Cyclotricity has the 250w setting. I'm not sure that it makes the kit legal, anyway. You can limit to 25km/h with all the LCDs and you can select different powers by using the 5 power levels.

The DNP 7-speed has 11T top gear and doesn't require the frame stretched.

Someone to supply and fit electric conversion to 2 folding 20 inch wheel Dahons, within 80 miles of Dorchester?

You'd be better off buying new bikes and selling your Dahons. To pay someone to convert and supply the kit will be expensive to get the range and power that you want.

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

The 8 speed is too wide. You can use it, but you have to stretch or spring the frame and use washers on the axle. If the 9-speed is the same width, you'd have to do the same.

Multiple questions, help..! Which controller can I use?

You can buy the 500w controllers that are free from restriction. Some of these are KT controllers that need a compatible KT LCD. You'd have to open up yours to see who's version you have. Do you have the one into four cable from the controller to the handlebars...

Help! My pedelec suddenly got faster (SameBike JG20, YSDX20, XW-20ZC) - long text!

Everything you report is normal. 250w is the motor's rated output power, not how much you put into it. You will see that the current and power goes down when you ride fast, so you will only see 480w at low speed where the motor's efficiency is low (say 60%) and output power would be around 290w...

Multiple questions, help..! Which controller can I use?

That all sounds like complete hogwash. It's a standard motor and battery, so I'm sure the controller is standard too. Motors are extremely robust. I very much doubt that you broke it. Running it faster does it less harm than running it slower, so your faster controller didn't do anything to the...

Question about speed restriction on Dillenger Kit

It's standard Chinese stuff. the good point is that it has a KT controller, which is a nice control system. bad points are that those batteries aren't normally waterproof. Water can get in where those little windows are because they're normally loose in the black part. Second thing is the...

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

When you put the motor wheel with the freewheel in the frame with the bike inverted, you can look from behind and see whether the rim is in the centre of the frame. You can put a straight edge on the rim and see where it points to where the frame narrows at the seat-tube/bottom bracket area. A...
