You are tougher than me! Mine is much shorter - as low as two miles if I take the shortest route.

2017 cube reaction hybrid pro 400

Doing the daily commute is one of the absolute best things about having a bike. Since starting at the very beginning of January, I have cycled every day - not once jumped into a car. And I feel so good when I get to work! The office is often pretty darned cold, but even my short ride helps me...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Probably depends on who you ask, and about whom. Many seem perfectly content for junior doctors to work massively extended hours in order to reduce casualty waiting times. (After all, did the reduction in their hours cause 99% of all known NHS problems?) Probably also happy enough at the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Guardian has yet another of those apparently unforeseen (and certainly un-warned-about by the brexiteers) consequences: No-deal Brexit would trigger wave of red tape for UK drivers and hauliers Britain would fall back on international treaties requiring new licences and registrations...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Back when I was around four or five, my parents had friends round for drinks and nibbles (or whatever they called it then), for which there were sandwiches. My abiding memory is of having leftover sandwiches fried for breakfast the next day - whether they had cheese, ham, fish paste, or anything...

    Real Life Range

I fully understand what you are saying. First few days of cycling, my legs were definitely complaining. Now, the legs have improved enormously, but I have had the odd stop on a steep hill to recover.

Realised after I'd posted it could have looked facetious - not intended. For me, I have always struggled with getting enough oxygen - whether (trying to) run or do any other significant exercise. Yet never had anything to indicate asthma.

In case you hadn't noticed, you cannot live by big nets of veg alone. Maybe you don't need to eat Big Macs (well, I never do), but there are things we all need such as vitamin B12, which will not be present in veg.

Though the place in discussion is northern Ireland (not England). :-)

If, as it appears, it would need insurance, which company is going to offer a policy for a motor vehicle that isn't a motor vehicle? I can see the person trying to get cover ending up being seen as misleading the insurer. "Will you insure my motor vehicle?". "But it isn't a motor vehicle. Trying...

    Sidestand stress on frame?

Sorry - not going to be able to answer, but I do have some questions! What sidestand have you fitted? Why did you choose that one? Any issues - other than as above - in fitting it? Do you have a photo?
