The issue with the Suntour system is it appears from a lot of user problems it the system creates more issues then it solves.

I have never played with a T model but thought there was an ' F ' or 'H' setting/mode that over rode the T mode to use the cadence mode. The twist throttle option also disengages the T mode. In cadence mode the bike only gives max power so range will be compromised.

If it's the front rings then you might have to adjust the H & L screws or look at the set up to see if the chain rings have been moved out.

Double check the hub motor connector is fully pushed home. Have you checked battery voltage with the meter ? The PAS sensor needs to be about 1mm from the magnets on the disc and the sensor might have a Red led that blinks when it senses a magnet/pulse , the throttle may simply not work...
