Kalkhoff Groove G7 Display replacement, ideas please

The true P1 value may be 80 - 88 for the speed reading accuracy. P1 adjusts the speed read out accuracy, you need a separate GPS to verify the lcd speed reading. Start with a 25km/h setting in the first set of basic parameters to change ie, before you enter P settings. Adjust P1 up by value of 1...

    Parallel batteries

Parallel, increase in ah and current discharge so easier on the cells, voltage will remain higher initially for staying power. As vfr mentioned make sure both are quite close voltage wise before connecting, 0.025v or better.

    Charging pack to 41V experiment

Be pleased you haven't a total lemon, as I mentioned before you have probably v.g HE2/4 cells rewrapped/faked as the HG2. 0.01v with no balance is excellent imho.

Wisper I’m a new member, get me out of here!

Cable brakes Ben. All I can think is that there is play in the cable length, there is a kink in the inner wire (or freyed inner) or a compressed spot on the outer cable. Most likely I would think it is a snag either with the outer or inner also check for any tight/sharp bends in the outer...

Help! Electric connector inside wren electrics.

Use a needle or something thin in the contact end to try and press down the small barb then they should push out. They are similar to JST/SM connectors, but might not be the exact ones. SM2 for two wires, SM3 for three wire etc, etc. You will need to crimp/solder the wires to the new pins if...

The Reality of Owning and Maintaining a Pedelec

My Bafang Cst has been faultless now over 7k miles on it, the only real thing to go wrong is controller failure. In 6 years I have had one KT with thermal cutting gout remedied by introducing better cooling and one Lishui fail on me and that was an integrated/battery model. The mid drives I...

The Reality of Owning and Maintaining a Pedelec

All you guys who talk about troubles is because you don't maintain or know your bike/s inside out, build your own fit the kits and learn from others what is reliable. Mechanically they are no different to any other bike, buy some tools do your own maintenance and then things that go wrong can...

petition to increase the speed limit

Yes I am in agreeance flecc the seeds are being sown, the 120+ windmills now off the Brighton/Shoreham coast line in the channel and the digging up of the Downs to lay cabling etc inland to supply the energy. Solar farms also cropping up here and there.

    Throttle is a life saver

Not good news to hear Dave but yes a few posts you have intimated things weren't going so well, you are still here so onwards and upwards. In the past you have always been a stalwart for users to have a throttle fitted, I also have them on three bikes but scarcely ever used but still they are...

Help! Voilamart 26” front hub looking for repair

In the main part soldered with the hall wires some boards have small machine screws (but doesn't appear so with yours) otherwise they may have a couple of lugs on the back that slot in somewhere or maybe adhered down.

petition to increase the speed limit

I assume at some stage if not already in the planning large powerwalls will also pop up all over the place to store excess green energy.

Help! Voilamart 26” front hub looking for repair

You may have to just take the punt and buy the Aliexp pcb board, the fact it may not be exactly the same layout wise as yours may not matter as it looks as if only the speed sensor is missing, An external spd sensor with spoke magnet can be added quite easily after the motor works if it can be...

    Oxygen S-Cross Speed Sensor

Three wires need splicing Geoff, usually Black the Gnd to any Gnd wire via one of the connectors, Red to any 5v via the same method and the third wire/signal wire picks up the White hall/spd sensor wire from the controller to motor ( the early model probably uses the 6 wire hall block which...

So far not suffered an unstuck magnet but like you also have the block connectors so an easy remedy if ever needed to be overcome.

    Wisper 705SE faults

Phase bullets with the soft pliable protection eventually always give trouble and are a crappy solution but many bikes use them, when the heat gets too much they do melt somewhat fortunately no major damage occurred. If you can solder either cut them off and simply solder the wires together and...
