    BBS02 on a cargo bike.

Sorry you have been out done D8ve! The other day I saw a large Givi motorbike topcase on a 16" folder. Your back boot looks quite normal! :D

    Charging a Samsung INR18650 30Q 13S4P Battery Pack

Best to stick to the charger supplied the BMS may not support higher charge current. It should be in the specs for the battery, sometimes you see "fast charge current..."

    Charging a Samsung INR18650 30Q 13S4P Battery Pack

Many 48 V batteries come with 5 or 6 amp chargers. For that cell it would be .5C wouldn't it?

How do the BBS converted bikes ride?.

Not really very much I think the 02 is a little wider to fit more copper windings an cooling fins are different. You can find dimensions on the bafang site (on tiny screen so too lazy to post link  )

This forum is not known for the quality of it's search engine  And a lot of us need all the help we can get to remember who posted what and when. Last year it was considered as vapor and there was a post by someone when the kick starter er started. Not important I do remember @trex...

How do the BBS converted bikes ride?.

Agree with D8ve it is all a question of range, if it is a toy go for the maximum fun level. I use my bike (which isn't a BBS but a clone) as a means of transport so range primes over fun. My style is still a bit "hub motor rider" but I am improving, and I always used my gears on the hub motor...

Halfords Carrera e-Bike now only £799.99

This is a 60 km ride I did last year and which I am planning to do again as soon as I get my 20 Ah battery pack together so that I don't have to pedal the last 5 km home... You are right, on the flat at a leisurely pace range can be in excess of 100 km but not where I live.

Are you going to get rid of all the wires between the handlebars and the controller? If so, yes, for $15 extra it is worth it. Yes I mean remove brake cut off wire as well it is about time someone provided a hidden wire switch on the back brake as a factory built standard. You could go the...

    Two wheel drive electric bike

Motor on front wheel, pedal power to rear wheel = two wheel drive, both wheels receive driving power. arrgh beaten to the post. Two electric motors are only useful off road in very difficult conditions IMVHO.

There is another two threads about this motor on this forum, one from the pre-announce last year and another from June. I like it, it isn't made in China but in the EU. The idea is sound the motor well designed. If they can continue selling the whole kit for under 1000€ the price isn't too bad...

Halfords Carrera e-Bike now only £799.99

Ouch my head hurts! Tough question. My vote would go for the spokes which have to support the extra strain, doing the work of two it would seem.

    amp setting advice?

I went for a ride despite the 37°C and bright sunshine or, because I have a pedelec, I could ride and without much effort. I saw 46°C on one exposed street thermometer panel which felt about right when riding in direct sunlight on sealing which has been warming up for three whole days and at...

    Another Boris Johnson consequence

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Anglo-Afghan_War The second time around wasn't a good idea either you should have asked the Russians/Soviets before trying again. I have nothing against the men, they went to do the dirty work of the politicians who sent them there. All in the name of...

    Another Boris Johnson consequence

Yes like almost losing the Maori wars for example. And completely losing the Afghanistan colonisation attempt (a.k.a. getting your asses kicked)? Oh and building a snobby boys only high school with the windows facing south, in New Zealand... I could go on and on and on (and probably will, Brexit...

    Crowd dodging

I often ride on a cycle path that is mixed. It was never going to be a good idea and pedestrians never look at signage so they often don't know that it is mixed. There is all ways a nice chap around with a kind word for the "bloody cyclists on the footpath" who is then very embarrassed when...
