The only problem the OP has is "350 W" stamped on the motor. The 250 W BBS01 is a tuned down version of the 350 W motor - 15 Amp instead of 18 Amp. If there was a way of changing the markings on the motor and turning the Amps down to 15 it would be a legal motor. The 350 W BBS02 is a different...

The Yamaha lets you have a double chainring on the front. That can be useful when you live where I do for example but not so much on the flat.

Handling - don't like the weight in the front wheel, others don't mind. You can gear higher because you have a motor helping you.

On brake sensors: No throttle, don't need brake sensors. But if I ever was to mount a hydraulic brake sensor (which I may well do in the near future if the GSM has too much run on) it would be on the back brake only. And... doh! It doesn't need to be even near the brake lever! It can be way down...
