Yee-Ha! My new bikes have arrived!

... Never say never but since I mounted these not one slip incident. There I've done it, for sure tomorrow I will break my leg... Sandals, barefoot, city shoes tried them all and nada, nothing, rien... Pedal strike? Yep you have to relearn how to take corners which in itself is not a bad thing.

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

It really isn't just a flick of the switch thing as you know: - power down - power up and hold down specific button combination to get into configuration screens - tab through options and change max speed - save - power down and back up again A couple of minutes to change from one maximum...

    Number Two

Well after writing all the above the money came in! Back to Plan A. Plan B is on hold but I think that down the line there is a future for the Mxus kit... On order or to be bought locally: - GSM mid-drive external controller version - lots of bits from BikeDiscount.de - rear wheel from...

I'm in France so maybe my colleagues are better placed for recommendations. Having said that I have just ordered a GSM mid-drive from Woosh who also do Bafang mid-drive kits. Any kit with an LCD gives you access to settings such as wheel diameter and maximum speed. With the Bafang you also have...

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

The situation with pedelecs is much less serious than with cars which are proved to be dangerous weapons in the hands of many... Some forum members could maybe just think about that for a moment and then run off an get a life or something.. I have yet to find one single legal kit on the market...

    pedelecs banned from UK event...

Brilliant idea! Create another event that just happens to use the same road on the same day. Easier they could have created a separate class and sent the pedelecs off down the road first - risk = zero, but they have no imagination.

Now you see why a mid-drive isn't such a bad idea. I don't like front wheel drive (just the handling of it, the extra weight in the front wheel) and I don't think it would work very well off road. Of course many argue that you have two wheel drive with the motor in the front... You can find...

    Electric kit for Helios Tandem?

When you have a hub motor you use all your gears too, maybe less often first gear. I was perplexed when I first started out and the secret of hub motor bliss is "Use the gears Luke!" Range is dependent on the effort you put in. I get 70 km from a 10.4 Amp battery others get 35 from the same...

Yee-Ha! My new bikes have arrived!

I understand your space issue but I certainly don't miss twist shifters which I find very inaccurate when "in the thick of it". An upgrade would be combined shifter/brake levers or... 2 cm longer handlebars.

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

Which as we know is pure BS, a pedelec with a heart monitor app to help dose effort is one of the best cardio-training tools there is. Industry members should be pointing this out to them and arranging for demonstrations to clue them in.

    pedelecs banned from UK event...

Banning something that is good for people with heart condition just goes to show how good they are at looking after people doesn't it... It seems that most heart foundations are useless, the Spanish one gives the thumbs up to a product described by doctors as "snake oil"...
