    Reprogramming the BBS02

Thanks! I think that a 12 magnet external PAS looks like a good option.

    Brose motor problems

Short circuit in the battery? Do you do jumps and other off road stuff? My motor cuts out on speed bumps or large potholes, there is probably a short in my bottle battery because it doesn't do that with the lipos.

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

He is an artist! You saw his sculptures, the man has an eye. His only flaw is he loves mucking about in... muck!

    Number Two

An update and major change of course on the current build. I have done 3000 km in relative discomfort (euphemism!) on a frame too small. So as Spring is springing and being out on the road is more important to me than building a fantasy bike, change of plan... I have the cash and most of the...

    One thousand Km!

Coming up to 3000 km! Servicing/cleaning is needed on the Magura hydraulic brake one side is sticking. It still brakes but the pad isn't retracted on releasing the lever. Otherwise everything is working just fine.

Dutch Government banning most i.c cars

Weren't milk floats electric? Electric delivery vehicles have been around for a very long time and are getting better as battery technology improves. A Tesla taxi, yes please I will ride in one of those and the owner will be thrilled with his energy costs. Death to motor-homes! Death to...

Budget pack of Wilkinson twin blade throw away razors only cost a few € cents each bought that way. As I get about a weeks shaving per razor a bag lasts me over six months.

A 30mph crash fatality in something not tested or safe..

I was wondering what all the fuss is about so I looked up the microcar in question - in France these are limited to 45 kmh the same top speed as an s-pedelec. When they get in crashes it is messy I think I posted about one where a family of four died in a road accident in a Microcar or other...

Best Ebike mileage.....on ONE battery charge

I got passed by a recumbent the other day downhill and passed him going up the next but he went by fast enough for me to think "b@st@rd"... he won't be so proud when I get my trike :D

Can we build 750 watt road legal bicycles?

Here you have to go to the Drire control station to have the Carte Grise modified as you are changing energy. As long as you are under 4 kW nominative it is still a moped in the eyes of the law.

    Reprogramming the BBS02

Has anyone got a photo of the PAS in these motors? How many magnets do they use? Is the overrun controller dependant? Is it just the clutch which is slow to disengage? My current project is a GSM motor with external controller and if there is PAS dependant overrun I will switch to external...

Gsm kit with internal controller - 44.4v?

37 V nominal... My usage would be with an external controller, does that void the warranty too? trex said he tried and the motor got "a bit warm" but I think he did a bit of throttle only. I provide about 120 W and ask the motor for a little help on the hills, speed limited to 25...

Gsm kit with internal controller - 44.4v?

Theoretically caps have a 20% tolerance according to electronics forums I have crawled. I was hoping my 36 V 09 bottle battery controller with it's 50 V cap could handle 4.1 V? I guess I'll just have to test "in the name of science" before committing to a battery box build (controller sealed in).

Hobby king multi star on offer

Even only having lasted that long it has so far only cost me 0.11€ a km. Which makes it cheaper than a bus ride to the station! (14 km and 2€) And I will get a few more kilometres out of it before things become too hairy, for the moment we are looking at 0.2 V difference with the other cells...
