    battery indicator help

Ah shows the capacity you have used from your battery, if you use a 30ah battery it will show 30ah or near damn it if you drain it fully. If you switch it off it will zero again, Top left tells you the amps drawn when current flows. Top right is self explanatory, Battery voltage. Bot right is...

    Brake sensor constantly on

Inside the levers is a switch contact or sensor wired like this, the plastic housing end in the brake lever uses a sprung plunger. The two wired switch is just that it relies on a continuation (a short) contact to be activated (like a latching switch) and when dormant/off requires the plunger...

    LCD S866 + Brainpower controller

You muddied the waters a little by saying; It now sounds like you are using the Brainpower as an external controller which isn't made clear. Unless I have totally misunderstood again.

    Brake sensor constantly on

Quite simply I have always used 3 wire hall sensor brakes with my KT's. Have never used or tried the two wire set up so don't know if it works or not. All my disc brakes are hydraulic so the actual levers are of no use, so I dismantle the lever and lob/throw them in the scrap pile. This leaves...

It no matter what the bike is, if it does what you want it to do. Look forward to your review.

    Brake sensor constantly on

I expect if you use a 3 wire hall sensor brake all will be well, though KT do state when using 2 wire brakes to omit the Red 5v line. With my KT's I only use 3 wire hall sensors and dismantle the wired sensor block and lob the levers.

    Oxydrive kits

Although the Oxydrive kit for me is no longer, I am still using the bullet proof CST hub. Today I fitted a CarryFreedom tow hitch and had to do some work/adjustment on the brake side to fit and align everything (the Dremel type tool came out of the box ), whilst I had the wheel removed...

    Voilamart 250w kit

If changing and you opt for KT go a bit more and 17a you can always dial the current down. 8 wires is indeed sinewave you would need an external speed sensor which you probably already have wiring it in is easy as KT have a separate wheel speed sensor connector.

Update Nexus 8 into a Alfine 11 HUB

Yes quite right, Gates drive components aren't cheap if OP is going to be messing. He needs either shop to spec the gearing better or go with chain set up where sprockets are a lot cheaper.

    Brake sensor constantly on

Turn the bike off disconnect both brakes and switch in does every thing work ? Kit should work with no brakes connected. Double check motor wire connector is correctly aligned and connected.

Update Nexus 8 into a Alfine 11 HUB

Stick with the Nexus 8 it is reliable if cared for. If changing gearing you need ideally to keep 2:1 gear ratio or more for warranty work. Your chain ring needs to be double that of the rear sprocket. Going under 2:1 = higher torque and possible failure The internal ratios give the following...

    LCD S866 + Brainpower controller

Ideally you should have started a new thread rather then hijack another which utilises a completely different set up. Most common fault is a blown mosfet on the controller, if a short has caused a fault. Test is with no power and you are looking for continuity. Set meter to 200 ohm range and...

    power problem with Wisper 806SE

If the current drops to 0 then usually the target speed in this case 15.5mph has been reached. Though your reading say's 13mph have you clarified that with a GPS reading at the same time, it may be that the lcd reading is out and a LCD P1 type parameter setting needs adjustment.

    Battery new self-build bms issue

One thing I have noticed is you have soldered the BMS sense wire (B-) small black directly back to the BMS B-, usually all instructions state that it is soldered directly to 0v of the #1 cell group. Whether this has a bearing on the reading I don't know as never connected to BMS B- in this way...

    Voilamart 250w kit

Tell us how many pins the motor wire connector has, 3 is unsensored/Sq wave & 8 or 9 is sensored/Sine wave the 9th wire being for int spd sensor. Controller current rating depends on the cells used inside and their CDR (current discharge rating) 15a will give a little more watts output.

    ALERT Wisper Bikes Break in.

Typical state of policing today, successive government's have bought them down to bare bones with funding cuts, when last did you see a plod out and about except in vehicle. The attitude now is insurance will cover it !!!

    Brake sensor constantly on

Brakes are the pair of Blue/Red that connect to the Red /Black/Yellow. Blue to Black is Gnd and Red to Yellow is signal. Disconnect the pair and check each connector/pins are ok, stick your meter probes in to the rear of each wire connector and probe the opposing wires to ensure good...

    Wisper After Sales Service.

It's good for responders to post the good and bad about service received as it may help others to make an informed decision when choosing a brand/supplier. 99.9% of the time we only here good things from the likes of Wisper/Woosh on here, with oddly the odd disgruntled customer who have a large...
