    Brake sensor constantly on

Disconnect one at a time to see if that clears the fault, ensure the lever fully seats when released. Only one cut off is needed, two can add up to be double trouble. A simple Reed switch (2 wires) will be used to activate the cut off signal, this is activated by a magnet manoeuvred inside a...

    Quick 'Battery Voltage' Question

Do the math and it all adds up correctly you have a 36v nominal battery. 36v x 15.6ah = 561.6wh just as it states on the label.

    Wisper After Sales Service.

I would say two weeks isn't bad for diagnosis/repair since it has to be sent to and from a dealer, lucky it wasn't a Bosch or other mid drive bike. Reports of Six weeks or so as component parts go back to Germany I believe.

    Wisper 705SE 24"

For correct chain length remove chain from derailleur and place chain on/around the front and rear largest gear only ) so front outer chain ring and rear gear #1, the chain ends should overlap by 1 link for Sram components or 2 links for Shimano (include the chain link in this).

    brake pads

The South Downs is chalk bed and when wet it acts as a grinding paste mixed with soil and other detritus, Organic /resin don't last very long. I'm not the only one on the forum to experience this . Also had this once occur on the North Downs. Also the clag formed also builds up on the tyres/...

    Quick 'Battery Voltage' Question

Likely label is wrongly marked and should read 36v out put (nominal) and is a 42v max charge rate. Measure the battery out put with a meter. A 36v battery is it's nominal voltage which is about 50%, fully charged 100% it is 42v. Min discharge is 30v but generally it is detrimental to keep going...

    Is it just me?

Some do ramble on a bit. Not getting the full story is the worst bit, like a couple posts bemoaning the seller of their bike and how crap it was and not working etc, etc. On both occasions OP's omitted reason for faults, one bike was allowed to fall over so component/s were damaged and another...

    Wisper 806SE not charging

Another good result, at least you have got there in the end. Wisper are one of the good guys and sometimes faults/components do go wrong as they are generally China mass produced, although inconvenient when they fail.

    brake pads

I carry spare pads with me as on the South Downs pads can be mashed in 20- 30 miles if ground conditions are wet.

    Chain slipping?

Rear hub geared bikes aren't affected as much as the drive is kinder on both the chain and gear teeth.

    Stolen Raleigh Forge

Only takes a few secs with a lithium 4" grinder. I always use two locks so it takes a nit longer, I think they look for easy targets /cheap cable locks firstly.

    Wisper After Sales Service.

Like most hub bikes they use generic China component's, thought there was a premature failure the company shines when a fault arises and is rectified in a relatively short reasonable space of time.

    Help choosing my first Ebike

The Shimano likely will have been a Steps 6000 or 8000 mid motor, both torque sensing. The Carrera Crossfuse can be had for better price join UK cycling for about £25 and get another 10% off at Halfruads or wait until it is on offer and get 10% off on top. Lots of choices out there.

    Help choosing my first Ebike

Chipster if you have good stamina/ leg power then go for the torque sensor bike, if you lack leg strength or tire after a while or during a longer ride then consider buying a cadence pedal sensor system. Try both systems before you buy. Torque sensor is a power multiplier, generally they will...

    Voilamart 250w kit

It is one of the Brainpower controller kits they are a bit temperamental to set up by all accounts and low power 13a. You still need a Pas and a throttle if you want one, if you have these then simply solder the correct wires together and heat shrink as the connectors will likely not match. KT...

    Voilamart 250w kit

The controller will be anologue so you need a digital type with 5 levels of PAS, KT with lcd3 is the most user friendly type on the free market. Buy a complete package of controller, lcd, PAS, throttle and brake cut off/levers for about £110 or mix and match compatible components. Old syle...

Newbie looking for bike that can tow my toddler.

More power is usually always good so your not far off LS Big Bear territory and leaves the rear axle free to easier fit a trailer tow hitch if yours is an axle fitment (without any mods). Consideration to fitting the trailer hitch needs to be taken in to account.

DAS KIT use to use Luishi electronics for their kits/bikes as with the Oxydrive kits. Like KT they use to be easy to de- restrict.

    brake pads

Check you brake rotors they probably have resin stamped or etched on them, in which case you can only use organic/resin pads. You need Shiamno B01S pads or copy B01S pads, like Andy I but bulk via ebay /china at about £1 - £1.50 a pair. They last me about 1k miles may be a bit more, soon as...
