    Electric Delivery Bikes

Sainsbury's use 5 E cargo bikes with Bosch system and 125kg payload capability out of their Streatham store I believe. With the London traffic the bike is more versatile for local deliveries (3-4 miles )then a van and apparently can manage more drops. Co-op is another food store who use them as...

    Bafang 250W amazing range

Simply put your poor range is down to using high assist levels and drawing more current. Using a BBS01 with frugal settings I manged 52 miles with 14.5ah/29e battery 10.03wh/mile. Your range /battery usage indicates an inefficient wh per mile rate. The first battery you are using 23.2 wh/mile...

    Yamaha PAS NiCd to Lithium

The controller most likely will be 30v+ rated or there about's (opening up might confirm), 24v can be as much as 7s so should be ok. My 2nd Swizzbee had 24v nimh cell pack and I made and used a pair of 7s lion packs without issue and could have gone as far as 8s if an appropriate BMS could have...

Front hub 48v motor for very hilly area

Decide on what you want to buy post the list on here with the links and then we can run an eye over it to see if you have missed anything. You will need tools for crank arm removal and a way to file the drop outs a bit deeper.

Front hub 48v motor for very hilly area

I'm in agreeance for using the normal multi connections for problem solving, these are available as kit as well it just gives an extra option. I use the non moulded stuff on my bikes but some buyers prefer the moulded option for plug and play. It depends on the users technical ability.

    Advice on Cheap Option

The Suntour forks have a meaty drop out so there is less chance of metal fatigue but I would be inclined to still fit a TA to reduce metal stress, though you will still have to file the drop out 2 -3 mm deeper as the hub axle is 12mm compared to the standard QR 9mm. Those extra few mm allow the...

Help! I need more power (not speed)

The integrated battery controllers are compact Kirstin, some are potted in silicon certainly on the underside and use tiny compact solid state components, though cap cans are still present. The dolphin 09 controller is a double decker but so compact and tiny pcb's.

Front hub 48v motor for very hilly area

Buy a hub and combine it with 9 mosfet 22a KT controller and a LCD3, 5, 6 or 8. The 9 mosfet controller will run cooler then the 6 mosfet and if you want neat ness has easy plug and play connections. The KT LCD has 5 PAS levels so you can be frugal on flat terrain in PAS 1 and then 4 extra PAS...

Is it possible to turn off the Torque Sensor with mid-drive motors?

Generally you have to stick to hub motor for cadence though some mid motor kits offer the same like BBS, Mxus or Xofo. The TS mid drives are just that no ability to switch function. TS mid drive kits with throttle option are TSDZ and GP Lingbei. GP are a new player and has been set up by ex...

Help! I need more power (not speed)

It could be said you have been riding your luck with no Torque arm/s (T/A's) on the front, though the Suntour has a meaty strong D/O area. They are used to prevent motor spin out which can and will damage the motor cable esp where it enters the hub. I had a pair of T/A's with BPM in similar...

Help! I need more power (not speed)

Higher current won't enable the same speed when climbing but a more easier enabled climbing ability, for speed you need to consider higher voltage and maybe a current increase as well. Trying to maintain the same flat speed on a climb may be better maximised with torque drive motor rather then...

    Amp options

Be governed by the max current draw of the controller and the cell specs used, cells inside could deliver more current though demand is governed by the controller. BMS protection is there to cope with current overload, generally 20- 25a is plenty for most controllers < 15 - 20a. Generally head...

    LCD S866 + Brainpower controller

The 6 fet KT controllers get very hot if using PAS 5 and do lots of climbing esp at slower speed, my ones got so hot I couldn't hold them without burning my hand. Temporary the they shut down thermally, the fets I think short as a protection then switch again once cooled, The 9 frt ones run...

    LCD S866 + Brainpower controller

You need one of the controllers linked to in #192, it must be a sinewave model and you will need to buy the compatible LCD. So LCD3, 5 or 8.
