Wanted WANTED has any one got a 48v battery hailong or similar they want to sell

The cells likely as you suspect are China branded and may well be quite decent, you will have to keep us updated with their performance. They may well last as well as some branded ones of similar spec, my 36v 13ah Sam 26F lost about 25/30% capacity after 2 years.

Help! SRAM p5 Rear hub for old giant twist/lafree

The Yellow bit on the axle end hides an adjustment for a spring I think, whether this has any bearing on your issue I don't know. On Cycling UK forum there is a very knowledgeable chap by the name of Brucey who seems to be good with most hub gear issues, you could try there.

    Oxygen Scross MTB ongoing review

If opening the pack it is worth checking the 10 cell group voltages to see how they fair. If balance is out then you can even them up and then see if the BMS and pack behaves better.

40.8v could mean the battery isn't balanced, cells that loose capacity should be able to hold full voltage. Though when a current is applied voltage drops quickly.

    Battery capacity running down

From the battery link I would say that no name China cells are used, likely that even your one try out run at 1000w setting will have caused cell damage as they would have been at their max limit. Battery is stated as for 250-360w output only. Sellers who use branded cells usually make appoint...

How do I deal with abusive customers?

I don't think there is away to deal with them when their ranting like looney, as we know not the first time someone has moaned. Some expect unreasonably something that is not reasonable. Keeping your cool and putting the phone down is likely the best route in hope they may ring back when they...

    Battery capacity running down

I expect the battery is only using poor medocre China brand cells rather then genuine branded ones. As VFR has said a battery link please. The cells aren't solder but spot welded using nickel or steel plated nickel so not easy to repair, if you don't already have the equipment. Soldering is a...

Woman hit by Cyclist awarded a payout

This appeared on CUK forum a few days ago, the cyclist was deemed 50% liable as he failed to avoid hitting a Zombie with her face stuck in a her face. Yet he sent out enough warning signals, the law is an ass. If it was a car that hit her nothing would have happened.

    electric scooter/skateboard laws

Electric ones are not illegal to sell, only to use in a public place. It is up to the user to abide by local traffic laws/usage. If they were limited to 4mph/ 6kmh then they would be legal I believe but then sellers wouldn't sell many.

UK stockists of parts for self build (Exceeding 250W )

All parts you talk of will be Chinese in origin. UK outlets will not generally cater for these high output no legal parts/builds. There is one though Frank aka Xipibikes. https://www.hi-powercycles.biz/

Battery indicator shows empty after short distance

I should have also mentioned a saggy battery will show it self up better in lower PAS levels where current demand is less. My 5 year old 29E 36v cells are saggy, ok to use in PAS 1 or 2 and can still manage 30+ miles. Use PAS 3 or more they sag badly and range in PAS3 is only about 18 miles. I...

    Battery selection question

The controller might be a dual voltage model, if it is only a 48v one then you will have to use a 13s/48v battery otherwise you will be hitting the LVC of 40v very early on if you use a 36v battery.
