Help! Add lcd to a kit that dosent have one.

A kit without LCD will most likely not have a controller configured to use one. The controller needs a 5 wire connector and needs to be programmed, you will have to bite the bullet and get a controller and matching LCD. Show us a link for your kit.

Wispa Bike will no longer power up

Same test as you have already done, but using different meter setting. Controller Red battery connector to the three phase wires. The ohms test on Red with some meters give a fluctuating reading, unlike the test for the Black to Phases. The diode setting will give a fixed reading of 1 good or...

Wispa Bike will no longer power up

For the Red wire test you can you use the continuity/diode position on the meter. if you get 0 or the beep sound fet is blown, if you get 1 /infinity they should be ok.

    BBS01 to KT controller mod.

KT controllers for the most part do appear to be very robust, I have a couple spare used ones old wiring (jst) which have had some good use and they are still all good.

Replacing a spoke - I thought it was easy!!

Looks like a Dolphin/09 case though don't know where you can get the exact discharge fitting, some one will likely know. Once opened replacing it will be fairly simple, only requires two solder joints.

    BBS01 to KT controller mod.

The issue likely is within the BBS01 the only electronics left are the PAS pcb and the hall pcb a top of the windings. The phase/hall combo which matched the one you found doesn't play ball nor do any others now that are meaningful. Tested the KT fets via the phases/ power supply wires and all ok.

Replacing a spoke - I thought it was easy!!

Show us a pic of the damage, unlikely anything inside is damaged/frazzled though possibly a fuse will have blown if fitted as that's what they are there for, protection. Sound like you shorted the connector with your probes. Dont' worry it happens to us all at some stage. I did something silly...

Replacing a spoke - I thought it was easy!!

For an accurate spoke length without knowing the Erd. remove a good one and measure it from the middle or inside of the J bend to the thread, within 1mm is good enough. As flecc says 14g/2mm is plenty good I use Sapim strong and buy them off ebay. 14g are easier to manipulate then 13g.

Replacing a spoke - I thought it was easy!!

Your battery if it is reading 55v is actually over charged for 48v/13s as it should only be 54.6v max, 13s x 4.2v = 54.6v. The Vol = voltage reading says 55v. The battery meters on the display can be very inaccurate and doesn't tally with the Vol reading unless you have a 52v/14s battery ? Stick...

Replacing a spoke - I thought it was easy!!

I don't have issues with replacing spokes in situ whether laced from in or out board , sometimes I may undo/loosen an opposing spoke them just gently manipulate said spoke in to position by carefully flexing it without bending it to much. If it has a slight arc in it once in position it will...

    BBS01 to KT controller mod.

BBS01 with internal controller had developed a PAS and throttle fault, no drive so thought can't be bothered no more and decided to try external controller route. Think the original issue may have been needs a new PAS sensor and magnet. I have never got on with it that well since day one and...

    TSDZ2 36 V AND 48V NIGHT AND DAY

In all likely hood the controller will go up in smoke, they are not dual voltage.

    TSDZ2 36 V AND 48V NIGHT AND DAY

When you have invested in 36v and have more then one bike/battery you have to continue unless you bite the bullet and start again, it gets costly.

    BBS01 to KT controller mod.

Back to square one with this one, only lasted 2.5 miles today before again I lost PAS and throttle so looks like the BBS01 isn't liking the KT or the motor is loosing drive, the same position I was in with the integrated controller. Removed controller housing to access wiring and checked all...
