Hobby king multi star on offer

Been reading lots of threads over on ES about Multistar packs and it always comes down to 18650 cells are better bang for the buck. I think we are living in parallel universes. The NiHV packs are not the cheapest Lipo packs on the market but compared to a 10.4 Ah bottle battery sold in Europe...

    HobbyKing XT90 plugs

I know what you mean but the day I fry a controller or worse a battery because I plug in backwards (because I have 3.5 g alcohol in my blood for example) I deserve it... :D

    Helmets @ Aldi

I was in Aberdeen the day that summer ended in Scotland. From 20°C to 4°C in twelve hours, snow on the hills when we got up in the morning. The temperature drop was signalled by significant rattling of youth hostel bunks as everyone in the dormitory started shivering in the night. I almost died...

    HobbyKing XT90 plugs

OK thanks just what the doctor ordered. It is for swapping between the Li-ION bottle battery and the Lipo pack at the controller end of the battery leads. I think my big soldering iron is up to the task, my soldering technique may be a little rusty on the big stuff after all those years of...

    HobbyKing XT90 plugs

Are the HobbyKing XT90 plugs a good choice for replacing Anderson plugs as a battery connection? I want a standard plug at the controller into which I can plug my two battery leads. As I will be ordering from HK I thought I might as well buy there and these are the plugs on my battery packs and...

My thoughts exactly my birth country is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't be able to live there now after 40 years "away" this coming August. As for living in the UK I did for 10 months and I only managed that because in 1976 the climate was reasonably nice :p

How on earth does he get away with this?

35 kph (+20 mph) assisted on the open road would be really really nice. When in town I am usually between 17 and 25 kph on the flat. And in the city speed is often limited to 10 kph on the cycle paths so I am often around 15 kph just to stay in the flow with the other cyclists around me.

In search of reliability for 30km commute

If you like the quality of the rest of the bike why don't you try a Pro Connect? The dealer who sold you the Endeavour should give you a really good trade in deal in compensation for your troubles.

I am glad I wasn't born in that penal colony! OK so NZ has a helmet law too... But that Sydney bloke, man is he the one, cyclists must carry ID, removing cycle lanes!

    Experimenter

I can see you 3D printed your battery/controller holder, very nice! How large a piece can one print on a hobby printer? Thinking about my own lipo battery box not the exterior which I would do in ply as planned but an insert to hold the lipo bricks in place.

Looking for advice on a bike that could cover a 50 mile distance with ease

I can see it fitted with 80 Ah of Lipos and charge it from rooftop solar panels. Household rooftop that is. The one on the bike would be a hippy hitch-hiker girl magnet "Oh you are so green!" (absolutely buy the green version when you get one!). Yes there are still over 45 hippy hitch-hiker...

    Unknown bike

OK the more recent ones seem to be fitted with standard BBs and have rack or frame batteries when I looked a couple of weeks ago. I can ask about parts if you want but will need at least a photo of the bike so I can show it to them.

Hobby king multi star on offer

I am going to first off build a 10.4 A pack to get the hang of things and it is going to live in one of my pannier bags in a nice IKEA plastic box for perforation protection with a bit of foam to stop the individual packs from moving around.
