    Quick question about batteries..

And the extra torque is being produced by fairy dust I presume? :D

    Schwalbe valve dust cover magnet

Spoke magnets don't look pretty... I can't see it catching much more than a normal dust cap? And remember I am a strictly on road kind of rider :D

    Mainentance?

I live by the seaside... Anything greasy attracts sand like flies to cow manure... So a new chain is cleaned of the factory lube which is replaced by dry lube. I am on my second chain in 2600 km because the first one died an early death because of greasy lubrifiant.

    Bike rack on a trailer.

Most times you see bikes on camping trailers they are strapped laid down on the roof rack to keep the CG and lateral wind drag low as noted by VictoryV. Ideas: - folding pedals - blocks of dense foam at strategic places - of course the batteries and other removable bits in the car

    Schwalbe valve dust cover magnet

I thought about that. I am guessing that it was destined to be used with road bike wheels (it is for a presta valve). Then I got to thinking about moving the sensor in closer to the wheel - custom 3D printed sensor holder? If the sensor holder had a disengage system you could get it out of the...

    Schwalbe valve dust cover magnet

Has anyone tried the above product with a speed sensor? I think that it is the height of great design, no crumby magnet screwed to your spoke waiting to fall off!

    SRAM X01 & XX1 Eagle 12-Speed - First Look

And I thought my megarange 14-34 was low geared! When I run into a ramp that the motor won't drag me up I change to 34 rear (I have a 48 on the front). I got the 34 to be able to ride home in case of major failure but have only used it for popping wheelies and climbing walls to show off so...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Here the organisers would make riders sign a document that was legally binding proving they had their own personal liability insurance (specific for competitions) and in case of accident impound the bike and have it looked at. In case of dongle they would then sue the pants of the rider involved...

    Freego Raptor

Yes I have one of those. It is a bit of a pain to put on the front of the bike though, more long cable runs. My lipoly lives in the pannier bag and the controller is in the frame above the battery. If I want to be able to read the Watt meter: take off polarised sun glasses, look down into the...

Time for a bigger trike - which BBS02?

You mean the tube is thicker? I would take a bit of emery paper to the handlebar end on that side.

Meters should always be used only as an indication of battery health. Depending on the quality of the cells battery sag can show huge variations in remaining capacity. I think that Bosch and Panasonic complete systems have a better shot at it because the variables are better known to the people...

    SAUSAGE PARTY

What is this "big mac" of which you speak? True story: I knew my kids would want to go there with their friends so I first got them used to my home made hamburgers. They tried a big mac once and found it so disgusting compared to what they had at home they used to only order "chicken" or what...

    Going forward while looking back

If you ever lose your wobble try developing an unpredictable zig-zag riding style as in "I am admiring my surroundings but not very concentrated on the road". Does wonders for keeping car passing distances reasonable. After all they zig-zag all over the place while texting on their phone...

which wire to use for new battery leads?

Easy plugging and unplugging and you can't plug in the wrong way. The plug is on the wire not on the battery, wires are changeable parts so hardly under warranty.

The mounting thingy usually stays on the bars and the basket clips on and off. Most bike shops do them and the big sporting supermarkets too.

Hobby king multi star on offer

These things are awesome! I did a run down the coastal road and back (26°C brilliant sunshine and head wind outbound). 22 km there and back taking it easy (7 W/km) so as not to sweat to much in the heat and... upped my average speed to 26.8 km/h from the usual 25.6 km/h with the Li-Ion bottle...
