    Brexit, for once some facts.

This is the thread critical of Brexit, as my thread opening post showed. If you want balance, simple, open a pro Brexit thread. For 1753 pages we've been asking what the advantages of Brexit are, but still we have no answer other than the wishful thinking exposed by the departure negotiations...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Nearly a thousand of them worked here in the London Borough of Croydon in the Nestle UK Head Office. But about five years back they decamped to 1, City Place, Gatwick. With no takers for their huge office block here since firms usually prefer our up to date new builds, it was sold to a Chinese...

Now we have the Modern Slavery Act. I wonder what legal status National Service would have in respect of that act if it were reintroduced? .

    Impulse engine exchange

Thanks for the confirmation Tim. I can only suggest you ask one of their dealers to query this with them. I'm fairly sure that all the Impulse motor changes that have cropped up in here have been warranty like for like following failures. .

    Impulse engine exchange

Hi Tim. As the Kalkhoff is a 350 watt bike it's likely that it's an S class bike capable of assisting to 28 mph, way above the pedelec limit. That's definitely illegal unless registered and insured and used as an L1e-A moped. I'm afraid I can't answer your question on the compatibility of the...

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

London born, it's still my place too, I was out of it for my teen years and army time for a total of 14 years, but been back here ever since. Like so many I enjoy the best of both worlds by being in the fringe now with easy access deeper into both London proper and the surrounding country. .

WANTED Panasonic Powered Step-Through Bike (Kalkhoff Raleigh etc)

A to B Magazine, online and print, are also fans of the Panasonic unit and many of their readers have bought them. They still run their Free "for sale and wanted ads" in both, so you could advertise for one there: Here's the link to the page. Just send the wording by email to atob@atob.org.uk .

In reply: 1) Probably by moving facilities and staff into the EU. 2) Similarly, by setting up a representative manufacturing base within the EU, items listing that as source. 3) Mmmmmm, Pork Chops*. 4) We will never be able to. * With apologies to Homer Simpson. .

WANTED Panasonic Powered Step-Through Bike (Kalkhoff Raleigh etc)

Considering that many were bought be old people who give up riding with increasing frailty, probably hundreds in Britain and thousands on the continent. The saddest thing is what can happen after death. Those clearing up and seeing a bike with battery off, flat tyres and filthy will probably...

    Regenerative braking?

There have been many friction drive bike motors with ridged or abrasive rollers rubbing on the tyre treads. One of the earliest was the American Zap motor kit, but there were many others and there's at least one being crowd funded at present. Sinclair got involved too with three tries, two of...

No, but when I was in the army I jumped on slow moving trains a few times for a free ride to my destination when on leave. Helped eke out national service pay. .
