No, only if it was brushed motor as they only have a pair of phase wires and not three, then it would only be for testing purposes. You would have no way of controlling the power/amps draw from any battery so would draw max power all the time.

The controller/LCD'S aren't standard apart from the fact they look exactly the same on the outside, it the pcb's that are different. KT's auper special dept have worked some different magic in the software programming, Cyclotricity will have paid extra for this so that is why they want your £80...

Cyclotricity are all KT but controller/lcd are custom oem supplied so software/programming is a little different to standard option available. To gain the advantage of dual wattage you will have to bite the bullet and buy from them. Current motors/controllers are all 9 pin sensored.

You need to rig up the volt meter for a reading whilst riding to see the actual voltage collapse as you go along . SLA's aren't usually able to deal with constant load and will sag badly inducing voltage collapse.
