    Definitely not for commuting

Nice, but are you aware that this is a 350 watt speed pedelec with a rear number plate mount for when you register it as an L1e-B moped? It also needs to have motor insurance and a moped driving licence is necessary. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Indeed. As you've posted before we need a middle of the road party as an alternative to the Tories. Blair's looked like that at first but was far too close to Toryism and big business to be acceptable for many. The centrist Liberals have lost all credibility. The problem is that it's so...

Big if though, per this previous post. The Tories have to lose the next GE for Corbyn to get into power. .

Instead we'll just be tied to supporting the US forces and falling into line with US foreign policy. While still paying for EU access. .

Indeed Tom, I took it as read from his appointing so many Scots to government, even his minister for London being a Scot! But it's worth pointing it out for those who don't know. .

Which was nothing to do with Jeremy Corbyn or Diane Abbott. Labour governments and parties of Attlee, Wilson, Callaghan, Smith and Blair were all heavily dependant on the Scottish and Welsh votes and the MPs they returned. Many famous labour figures like Aneurin Bevan and Jim Callaghan were...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I can see your point but its based on the fallacy that JC and DA are keeping Labour out of power. Theresa May went to the country at the last general election confident that the population wouldn't support Corbyn and co so would greatly increase her majority. She was wrong as you are, the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No animosity, I'm just pointing out that you raising Diane Abbot is irrational in the context of Theresa May, because you are wanting it both ways: If Labour is unelectable as you maintain, she is no more relevant to our discussion than anyone else of our 65 millions population who won't be in...

What bike for a tall but light person?

The 250 watt limit is meaningless, just a legal nicety and puzzling to all newcomers to the e-bike scene. The way in which it is measured doesn't preclude much higher power when needed. The test determines that it can output 250 watts continuously, but ignores that one can output very much...

What bike for a tall but light person?

Its suitability for heavy people is because it has one of the most powerful Bafang motors for getting them uphill. How or when you use the power is up to you though. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't know, but the Lords position is consistent with previous utterances. They firmly believe the government should be seeking a Customs Union with the EU. So do I, it would help with the Irish border situation. The government's policy of no customs union etc with the EU is completely...

Zlatan, it's not relevant for you to mention Diane Abbot, simply because you insist that Labour is unelectable. Therefore on your own terms she will never be in any position of authority. Unless of course you are wrong and Labour is electable. You can't have it both ways. .

Back to Brexit! The House of Lords have rejected the EU withdrawal bill, insisting that the government must make the case for leaving the Custom's Union. Well done the Lords for making yourself useful. .

But he answered in the context of her being the alternative to Theresa May, so not relevant since she isn't the leader of the opposition. The alternative to Theresa May is one of the newer younger and more capable MPs in her party, the old guard in the cabinet just aren't up to their jobs. .

Does Anyone Use A Portable Light Weight Generator To Charge Up?

No use of one but I have considered buying one previously. Considering how long this model has been on the market and its very low price I wouldn't hesitate if going ahead. .

    Final mile eBike solution

Other than short term use e-bike hire schemes, I don't think any public charge points are necessary for pedelecs. Todays latest batteries can easily give three to four hours riding (40 to 60 miles) on legal pedelecs and few want to ride any further that that. .

Buying and riding an S-Pedelec in the UK.

True, outside of the EU they've always been a special case, probably dating back to their BikeTec Flyer F model which was very capable and of course the very fast Swizzbee. The S class in Germany and The Netherlands also have 500 watts upper limit, though few buy those. Their markets seen to...
