I still like to have one brake cut off, as twice I have had a different throttle issue which needed the action of the brake to cut power. If not fitting a throttle then no cut outs needed.

Putting your batteries in series will blow the controller as you will be feeding it 72v :eek:. If you want to do any battery joining then they need paralleling black to black and red to red to combine the ah and voltage needs to be similar < 0.5v.

I have the HLG 100H 42A model and it charges nice and quite quickly at 2.25a or so about the max for this model. The throttle is 3 pin julet, the red switch activates throttle on or off. It's plug and play and simply replaces any 3 pin thumb throttle.. Julet's 2 pins red 3 pins yellow 4 pins blue.
