    Brexit, for once some facts.

"Counter intuitive" is a polite way to describe his argument. It has so many flaws I scarcely know where to begin, so I'll content myself with dismissing it as the clutching at straws that it is. .

Ongoing reliability of Kalkhoff/Focus Impulse 2 motors

In fairness Eddie, why doesn't a replacement motor solve their problem? To me, having to have 2, 3 or 4 replacements looks like a fundamental problem with the units. N.B. Posting crossed with Eddie's response above. .

Guardian article on bike helmets - good read

The RRL data was shortly after the seat belt enforcement, so essentially the same car fleet and drivers. The measured behaviour had changed. .

    Electric Planes

I'm sure that high speed trains are the sensible answer for shorter distances, covering much of Europe. It's just sad that we in the UK have lagged so far behind Europe in this respect. If we'd followed their example we'd now have HS1, HS2, HS3 and HS4 at least, connecting all the UK's major...

Guardian article on bike helmets - good read

An example cropped up in the 1980s after the introduction of compulsory seat belt wearing. The government's Roads Research Laboratory had been monitoring driver behaviour before and after and subsequently reported that the seat belts had brought about roughly 10% increase in driving speeds...

Considering the many major miracles of civil engineering completed by Irish labour, seems you need to get digging again. ;) .

Ryanair have already said they are considering scrapping their UK connections following Brexit. .

    Electric Planes

Except it won't happen, I've long since lost count of all the posts like yours, full of theoretical promise. One thing makes a total nonsense of the linked story, flight to Paris! In this age when we are increasingly concerned about the effects of fossil fuel use, including aircraft, why...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'm in total agreement, I've long believed the role of the USA has been deliberately damaging and solely in their own interests. Not just in Europe but worldwide, which is why I believe them to the world's worst terrorist nation. Their terrorism is not only conducted with arms but...

You cannot since that could delete other's responses, only Admin can do that. I doubt they would since your one thread contains replies from others. .

    Kalkhoff Battery not charging

Here's a photo of what's inside the Kalkhoff-BMZ batteries of that age. Yours might not be exactly identical since they varied according to capacity:

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I could see this possibly confined to certain categories. For example, vehicles and parts, since both sides have a strong interest in this continuing as at present. Having WTO tariffs in other areas would help the EU present the deal as the UK not getting it all their own way, honour satisfied. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, I blame the leave voters. Not only did they bring about Brexit, because so many were Labour voters they placed Corbyn and the party in an impossible situation. Back what they knew was right but in opposition to their own supporters and the will of the people, or go against their...

Just what we don't need, 3% inflation with 0.5% or less interest on savings. A Brexit achievement. .

    Pro-Rider bikes.

Very old tech though, crude band brake on the rear wheel, horrible things scrapped from designs years ago. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think that is what will happen. Theresa May's inclusion bill to wrap up our existing EU compliance laws into UK law will have that effect. In addition there is bound to be much cross referencing to other EU law within our existing adopted laws. That could imply automatic acceptance of EU...

Your number 1 requires that we operate to common standards as we do at present. In turn that opens a Pandora's Box of regulation. .
