Looking for a reliable ebike to do the London knowledge on, please help!

Maybe eventually, but long before that are numerous difficulties for London minicabs as well as the black cabs. The days of cheaply using any old reasonable saloon car will be over, with crucial dates being January 2018, 2020 and 2023. Some roads will only be able to be serviced under zero...

    Puncture

Marathon Plus are the best protection from punctures in my experience, sometimes able to go to end of tread life without a single puncture as one of my bikes has shown. Before fitting them back in 2005 my worst trip suffered three punctures in a three miles each way trip. On the way the left...

There's certainly some truths in this, but Uber is hitting some obstructions now. The latest is the new requirement for drivers to have an adequate standard of command of the English language, which many of their drivers can't meet. There's also the ongoing challenge from the black cab drivers...

    Room 101

I remember a long time ago Countdown and Richard Whiteley having fun with this for a while, deliberately using such as "would of" and "could of" provocatively. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yorkshire would object, they don't even think they are a part of England. They'd go for independence if they could make up their minds which part would be in charge, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire or East Riding. That's only some of its names, also called the County of York...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I can remember when polls showed the English were in favour of the Scots being able to leave the UK. No idea why it should have changed, other than perhaps believing their politicians. .

Like the Scottish ones, far more recent than the Spanish ones. Apparently the original Uillean pipes when called war pipes were the same as the Scottish ones, the designs parting company later. .

I know many don't, but the Romanian Cimpoi and Hungarian Magyar Duda bagpipes alone have drones, and they are not the only ones. The Ukrainian Volynka has strong ties to the Highland bagpipes, as do a few other in Europe. And of course Spain can claim to be the originator, having bagpipes...

This is what I'm wondering, is the change real, or is she conducting a long term bluff. Heseltine is one of many in political circles who believe the British people will change their minds as the problems of Brexit are revealed. Perhaps Theresa May is too, but knowing that as PM she has to...

But is it her aim? Only weeks before the referendum she made a highly praised speech to a learned institution, expertly demolishing every and any argument for Brexit. Do we really know what is in the lady's mind? .

I just wish someone else was at the helm for the Brexit negotiations. Hopefully the negotiators who do the real work will be able to operate without too much interference and make good progress, achieving a good result. Whether she lets them do this will be a measure of her wisdom, or lack of...

When appointed as Home Secretary early in 2010 she hit it like a whirlwind making many changes, inevitably including some good things with the bad. But all in all it was a chaotic year. She presided over the Raoul Moat murder/suicide incident over which she later became under heavy criticism...

Well, here's a crackpot way-out idea, how about becoming one of the enemy for two years? Get a suitable car instead and be a London minicab driver, both earning a bit and doing the Knowledge at the same time, both between cab jobs and while doing them. .

Parking it free is obviously a big issue, but there's more with a van. There's the congestion charge zone, £11.50 each day if you intrude. And there's the low emission zone that extents right out to the fringes of London. This currently excludes old vans pre January 2002, but that could...
