Long-Term, Reliable FW Kit - does it exist?

yes, you can. Just pack some grease inside the cable channel before you seal it with teflon tape.

Long-Term, Reliable FW Kit - does it exist?

I always try to reduce the number of possible points of failure, especially on bikes that I know best suited for commuting. The Rio has a suspension fork, that means the coil springs can fail, the rubber seals can fail, the preloader can fail etc. A rigid fork does not have such problem and save...

hello DS, 30 miles a day is fairly hardcore. Can you look after the bike yourself?

RobF, I think warwick is the current record holder, he went through 3 or 4 bikes in a year. I wonder if he would want to test the Karoo to destruction.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I can't see us slowing down the ascendancy of a reunited Germany at the centre of the EU, at least in my lifetime. They have already overtaken us economically for a number of years, now the French have also overtaken us. With an ageing population and an education system that favours more...

that means simply that we deal with one issue at a time. Brexit will succeed in its own way, less global/integrated more keynesian economy.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, OG, it will be hard brexit. It won't be simple but straightforward for several reasons: 1. The EU is not going to give us an FTA until after brexit, for procedural clarity as much as anything else 2. We can't face the big wide world with so little preparation anyway. 3. The EU needs to prove...

No, I expect they'd do anything to cling to power. Remainers are soft. You give them 3 years of transition to a hard brexit, they'll take the offer.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You may be wrong on this. there is one thing that tory MPs value above brexit: holding on to power. If a soft brexit keeps Mrs May in power, guess what we are going to get. I reckon we'll have a hard brexit with 3 years of transitional arrangement. That will satisfy both sides long enough until...

Long-Term, Reliable FW Kit - does it exist?

I have seen loads of Bafang SWX motors doing 10,000 miles without servicing. Is it reliable enough for you? Those that need servicing, it's usually 4 ballbearings to replace or a clutch unit. No complicated electronics to worry about.

he/she is then an exception. I've read somewhere that an athlete can output 1,200W in short bursts. You, yourself, could be an average pedelecer in term of pedal power. How much power do you think can you put out yourself continuously for say 15 minutes? BTW, most donor bikes I have seen are...
