Oxygen S-CROSS ST vs Momentum Model T

Hello Hali, We are in Southend, 5 minute walk from the rail station, not too far from where you live I believe. If you could come to see us, I think we could make the trip worth your while. From our range, there is the Santana2 that I think will suit your requirements. Quick points about the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

somebody has to shake up the current world economics. As I said before, Mr Trump's ideas are ways OTT, but he provokes debates and participation. For too long, we have been fed sleeping pills by the Thatcherites and Blairites.

OG, you write off brexit's economic prospects too easily. If brexiters are happy to pay for the resulting inflation then why not let them enjoy their victory?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yes. That's one of the natural consequences of long term democracy. You can't get brexiters to change their mind unless you let them try. Off the scales. I reckon -200%? He has already gunned for China.

Guys, you don't want to take the viewpoints of people like Mr Trump seriously. I repost the OECD currency valuation chart again - countries can go to war over this. If the Euro was re-valued by 25%, my bike business will boom. KD will agree with me on this. There are also plenty of people...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

don't think so. Only 12 (including UK) of the 28 are net contributors. 11 at most might want to join the UK as associate EU members if the EU want to reform that way. The Netherlands and France are the two most obvious: Net contributors: I don't know how many of the posters here follow the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Mr Trump is quickly becoming the EU's biggest problem. Peter Navarro (Trump's head of trade) shows how the USA will negotiate: give 30-day notice to pull out of previous FTAs, give out list of new demands, then negotiate. Don't jump to conclusion that they are crazy. This is the justification of...

Anyone going to TfL London e-bike industry forum today?

there are the usual discussions about the lack of secure storage for bikes and e-bikes, the specific issues of older riders, the relatively high acquisition cost of e-bikes, the need to get Cycle to Work allowance raised to £1,500 or abolish the limit altogether and promotional effort to...

Anyone going to TfL London e-bike industry forum today?

I have been told that about 80 delegates turned up at the meeting, sitting around 8 tables, between 8-12 delegates at each. The meeting brought together the DfT, TfL, the Bicycle Association, Local Councils, charities, universities and quite a lot of well known names here, like 50Cycles, Bosch...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the EU should drop the idea that a deal with the UK should leave the UK worse off than current membership. That's an idiotic ideology. It should do the exact opposite, find the best deal for both sides. Let the UK continue to pay in and participate in as many programs as possible.

22st total weight on 20% hill is pretty hard core. Give him a couple of weeks, he'll conquer that hill.

Hello Paul, You did very well indeed. That hill is a nasty one, 106ft/528ft = 20.5% average. Sections of it may be lower, other sections may be steeper. My way to attack a steep hill is to select gear 1, yank up the throttle to full throttle to build up speed and hit the hill while pedaling as...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

agreed. Both sides, brexiters and remainers have to prove their points of view. The economy will be the decider. Hopefully in time for the 2020 and 2025 elections.

Advice please for a "commuter bike"

I am with Andy Bluenoes on this. A £500 kit should be capable of doing 20 miles a day. If you have £2k, then spend it on something nicer but it is not necessary at all. More miles means your brake pads will wear out a bit more quickly and you have to spend a bit more on tyres but for the...

thank you Cyclebuddy. I honestly can't see how they can price it at £1,000 even if it were on a cash and carry basis.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think the EU needs to reform a fair bit first. The direction of the reform (of the EU) can only bring the EU nearer to a post brexit UK. It's not an accident that parliament will support triggering A50. As more people understand the issues better, parliament must have seen brexit a viable project.
