computers ?? click on the top where it says category "police using poweredbicycles" should find it then...
I'm a bit dubious, they don't look like they are in use, more that someone has taken a couple to a Welsh police HQ and asked a few coppers to have a go on them. One poor WPC doesn't look too happy on it. :D
Segway has done more convincing publicity shots despite the fact they are illegal on UK streets (and pavements).

Why does the lady police officer have fat wheels?

Are they trying to tell her something?

If you ever go through Schiphol Airport near Amsterdam, you may well find the Segway in use there - it seems the airport police use them to make rapid progress around the terminal. They certainly seem to do the job, too.

I'm not a great fan of airports in general (and anyone living in Britain has good reason to feel like that) but Schiphol is by far the most pleasant of them IMO. As usual, the Dutch seem to have a talent for doing things in their own peculiar way - and getting it thoroughly right nearly all the time.

it looks like the preliminary bit where the manufacturers were touting their wares to the heddlu - with Wisper being the obvious winner.

Perhaps the green buttons on NWP bikes fire the taser :D

Thames Valley (the force in my old area) seemed to always have cycling officers right through from the 80s to when I left in 2005. One of my local bobbies moved up from a Raleigh police bike (in 1985) to one of the US "pursuit" bikes in the mid 2000s (shortly before his retirement).
