Oh I see so they are older probably better too if they are like the original Bafang model Vengeance .

I am not an expert on bike brakes but wonder if there is a service kit for these brakes like we used to service classic car brakes .

If not strip down clean and lubricate . Check any rubber seals you can see to make sure they are not perished then put them back together and change and bleed with new oil.

I just put some of the BMS boards in an air tight container to soak in Acetone I will leave over night and then clean .

Are you sure it’s ok to clean them in hot water afterwards will it not start corrosion on the components ?

I was going to use a soft brush and just put some rubber gloves on and gently clean then let the chemicals evaporate.

IT WOULD BE GOOD IF SOME ONE WAS TO COME IN HERE LIKE DAVID ON THE ANTIQUE’S PROGAM ON THE TELLY LOL

SOAR IN LIKE AN EAGLE

Clark’s do spare parts I assume they are service parts too .

Strip them down clean and lubricate them check for any perished seals change if you can get new seals.

Change the oil and bleed them .

Park tools on U tube do some good bike mechanics videos have a look on there.

Or just hunt around till you find some new ones I will keep my eye out for you at the auctions.

I have just put some of the BMS boards into Acetone to soak over night in an air tight container out in the garden.

Once softened I was just going to clean with a soft brush and let the acetone evaporate.

Are you sure it ok to clean them afterwards with hot water will this not start corrosion in some of the components or are they made from non ferrous metals ? It’s not something I have ever considered doing

Hello Baz.....After you have removed the coating then clean the boards with cleaning alcohol..best use a tooth brush with the alcohol. That photo you sent is the exact one that i have !!! on this M2 you cannot change the pistons or seals as the casing does not come apart...i read that its an entry level brake !!! i may have a go tonight doing some brake bleeding as i bought the kit and a bottle of mineral oil....it will be my first time and i should be able to do this ok.
