There is not doubt that they sell good bikes. However if the allegations are true I simply do not understand why they would risk their reputation. It is a lot easier to break a reputation than it is to build it up.
Well, they have certainly badly risked it before, I would have thought it would have been good business practice to have learnt from that hugely damaging debacle , but give them their due.....they DID apologize....... after the damage had been done......but it certainly hasnt been forgotten by lots of forum members.

And theres no question that they sell good bikes with a very good name, of course it certainly helps that if anyone wants to buy one in the UK they have no option but to purchase from them..........

Are we not making mountains out of mole hills? What I read from those post was based on irrational concepts that lead to accusations of plagiarism, and should have been laughed off rather than have this witch hunt, and IP address matching, which could open a whole new can of worms, people need to calm down, and move on.
Jazper, but Whoare's posting was vitriol in the extreme. He described me as unethical,a liar, double crossing my dealers,a cheat,a struggling business,no customers(you know that isn't true you have a Kudos bike)...doesn't leave much, does it?

Actually they did recently set up a small dealer network. The Electric Transport Shop was one of them. Not sure what happened though. You would not know this from their website so maybe it did not work out?

Must admit I did not see that post was that on the same thread ? As i only saw the posts based on accusations of plagiarism and no customers which were obviously absurd, and did post to counter.

I saved all of Whoare's posts, the associated posts of Whoare's involvement in my Ambassador thread and also the posts which have suspicious links to Whoare's. Been a busy boy today.
Unfortunately,at this time,I am not allowed to repeat any of those posts, but they have been held in safe keeping.

At the moment it is all leaving a bad taste in the mouth......and yes, as jazper says.......the link is no more, even more reason to get answers quickly and without delay, as you say, it doesnt take long to check IP addresses.

Lynda :)
HI Lynda, you are right it doesn't take long to check IP but personally I think that if any trader would be using same ID and post under different username it must have been really thick then. If there is no corelation in IPs it probably means the login is from the different computer or IP is being changed via proxy server

Yes Im sure you are right Andrew, as I said previously its very easy to download ExPat Shield or some other such proxy server, or indeed just use another computer.
Certainly anyone with half a brain would do that, especially if they were devious and unethical enough to have started down that route anyway.
So it might not be as easy to prove either way after all.

Seems like a lot of cloak and dagger stuff just for the sake of electric bike sales.....we arent exactly talking luxury yachts/ Caribbean islands costing millions.........or even corrupt pharmaceutical companies or Columbian Drug barons......

Strange that here's another New Member that has no sooner joined the forum than he/she gets offensive with those that have doubts about the veracity of certain posters.

When I joined, I kept my comments to myself until I thought I may have devolved an Informed opinion.
How long has a new member to serve his/her apprenticeship before commenting then?
All i did was state my excellent experience with a company that is currently being vilified on this forum.
This is not being offensive about anything or anyone rather just stating facts.
As I said earlier, my identity, IP address or whatever will stand the closest scrutiny. It should not be at all strange that a new member expresses his/herself on matters of fact concerning e bikes which is all i am interested in on this forum.

I think it was based on your post on the Woosh thread, that you tried to imply that a member might have a association with Woosh, which rubbed a few people up the wrong way.

Not sure what you mean at all. I do recall that a member said I would be watched closely when I commented that I was possibly interested in a Woosh bike some time ago but I took that to mean by implication that I had a relationship with Woosh rather than me knocking them in some way. Until the extraordinary bargain in the form of my Kalkhoff from 50 Cycles came along, Woosh were actually the favourites for my cash.

This is now getting silly !!!!!!

We now have people attacking one another questioning their rights to post or belong to a forum which has always provided friendly and mostly impartial advice .

The recent debacle wants and needs to be temporarily put on hold until either admin,50 cycles or WHOARE make some comment and clarify the position of this .

I probably along with others amongst you belong to different forums on totally different interests and even though there can be some banter, disagreement etc. they are similar to how this forum USUALLY operates .

So to sum up - a simple request - lets move on and leave the speculation and bickering behind it is now tedious and ultimately will destroy what is good about this forum.

Alan - now off my soapbox ( time for a good vape)

Fully agree. When i first posted on here a certain banned member accused me of being a plant much like whoare. ( hopefully by now i have proved otherwise) Lets all wait to see what admin has to say as all we are currently doing is spreading paranoia and rumour.

I guess any forum is subject to the trolling lowlife that appear throughout our online activities. Whatever their deluded motivations might be, where one is summarily dealt with, another will surely follow regardless of our remonstrations either way. As evidenced here, although I didn't see the offending remarks, forum regulars will quickly detect the anti-christs that mingle amongst us, I'm sure they will receive due admonition from Russ as appropriate, after all, it is his train set!

Whats important is that the temperature climbed to 5 Degs today, so I got 14 miles in, then polished my rear hub motor casing, and let me tell you, it's looking rather shiny right now.

Why was the entire thread locked? Temporary Locking down I can understand, if it descended into a massive row etc..to allow time to suspend or remove those new account members causing problems.

I don't understand the logic in though permanent locking of entire threads..especially one as profound as that with outlined a new model for marketing e-bikes within our industry with useful benefits to owners eh. Mind you I didn't follow the thread too much beyond the first page or two, so I don't know how bad it got!

So from what I can gather 50 Cycles are accused of foul play yet again - have I missed some others?
I bought a brilliant e bike from them 6 weeks ago at a brilliant price.
German quality engineered for just £100 more than a Kudos Chinese with only half the battery capacity.
Seems like a witch hunt to me.
My real life experience of 50 Cycles has geen great so don't let the hubris and hot air on this chatter platform put anyone off dealing with them. check my IP address or whatever - i am a genuine punter!
Flatbat(Steve,I think)....I too missed 50 Cycles previous rants,I do remember that someone from 50 cycles came on this forum saying arrogantly ' I cannot understand why anybody would buy a bike other than a Kalkhoff or deal with any other dealer than 50 cycles',reach for the sick bag!
I always think that if you have to knock the opposition and constantly talk up your own product,it shows an insecurity in your own product. I take it as a compliment that 50 cycles seem to be besotted with knocking the Kudos product so we are obviously doing a good job.
I rode a Kalkhoff bike at Eurobike,I would describe it as the Mercedes of the ebike world, solid, smooth in operation, not particularly fast, beautifully finished and well screwed together. Not sure where you get the £100 difference between the Agattu C8 Impulse and a Kudos bike, with only half the battery capacity.
Unless you got some super deal, the current price of the Agattu is £1695.00 and battery capacity 15Ah....the current most expensive Kudos bike is £1295.00 and battery capacity 10,4Ah. If you got the Agattu at £1395.00 that was very cheap.
When you read through old postings there is a feeling of reality about them, you had an in-depth discussion with Alex about valves on your similar bikes and join in other general discussions about ebikes. Whoare's postings absolutely have the smack of a work of fiction about them, they only talk about 50 cycles and Kalkhoff bikes, also the bad spelling and bad grammar is so typical of previous clones of Whoare-of course the one company that knows whether Whoare is genuine is 50 cycles themselves,it is noticeable they have not made any comments-if Whoare was a customer of Kudos I would feel the need to distance my company from his postings.
I suspect within 50 cycles is a loose cannon or cannons who thinks that such postings really make a difference to sales,in reality they show insecurity-my advice, let the bikes speak for themselves, you have a very good product it doesn't need these underhand sales promotion and you are spoiling the enjoyment of us who contribute to this otherwise excellent forum.
