The bike show at Velofollies,Kortrijk was a good mixture of sports and e-bikes,the location is only 90mins drive from Calais so it would be an easy visit.
It did not seem to be dominated by the big dutch manufacturers such as Sparta,Gazelle or Batavus but some smaller interesting stands from Swyff,Grace(very powerful 1800 watt motors),Haibike,Balance and Qwic...the majority were classic dutch style step-thro on 28" wheels...our most popular bikes were the Cheetah(for motorhomes),Eco(sporty ladies) and Liberty (dutch step-thro)...our Belgian dealer sold 5 Eco bikes, all to individual customers, who all commented that the Eco was a style of bike not usually available in Belgium and wanted something different.
They found it strange that a UK company would come to Belgium to sell bikes, the only other Uk bike manufacturer, that I saw,was Brompton.
