Hi all,
I've been absent from the forum for a while, but not idle! I have some news to share about CycleCharge so thought I'd post a little update for those interested..
Website Makeover
Firstly, the website has been given a complete makeover which I just managed to do in time for the Bristol E-Bike Day. There's still a lot of work to do, but I think the site now looks a lot better and more inviting with this new layout. I'd welcome your comments though and suggestions. Especially if something doesn't work or look right, bearing in mind that some links are not yet working as content is still being added.
Bristol E-Bike Day
Lynda and a few local volunteers as you probably know from her posts, have organised a stand at the E-Bike Day venue being held by Atmosphere Bikes in Bristol. This is our first public event and I'm hoping it goes well and the weather stays nice. We have some really nice glossy leaflets to hand out promoting the website and Lynda will be trying to get more Charge Points and sponsors.
Electric Bicycle Network merger
And last but not least, some great news.. we have been in discussions with EBN over the last 2 weeks concerning working together and combining our Charge Points. I'm very pleased to say this is now going ahead and EBN have agreed to add their 60 odd Charge Points to our directory. They will display our stickers and accept our members, so we have effectively doubled the size of our network now to over 100 Charge Points and have extended our reach into the Lake District. A special thanks to Alan (kitchenman) who has been instrumental in this merger by taking the time to meet with EBN and help me plan out the details. We'll be looking for other opportunities like this to sign-up businesses as Charge Points.
Oh one last thing concerning the new website... I'm in the process of transferring all the e-bike members details across still, but I can't copy passwords, so anyone who has registered already will be getting an e-mail notice in the next few days asking them to reset their password.
