You can buy one of these and all the kit to go with it for about £100. Your LCD will probably work with it, which would reduce the price a lot, but there'salways a risk it won't, so probably a good idea to buy a new one unless cash is tight:

Your controller is only 10A, which is very weak. That might be because the original battery is weak.

The connector you showed looks like an LCD one. Where's the photo of that one hanging out.
Thanks, the green connector connects to the LCD, the black 9 pin connector is the only one without a mate so assume that is for the PAS.

I will order the kit from the link you shared (including the LCD) and will pass on the current LCD, thanks again for the time and input

Did you ever have any luck with this? I have this bike and the battery is starting to lose charge a lot quicker so was interested in re-celling!

Hi. I bought Vitesse signal from ebay. It seems that the battery is dead. Does anyone of you tried to refurbish this bike and was lucky to complete it? Any ideas where can I get a new battery? Maybe alibaba.com or similar chinese suppliers?

There is one on Amazon that seems to be right
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325904852218?chn=ps&norover=1&itemid=325904852218&targetid=4585169654799852&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=69300&poi=&campaignid=412354547&mkgroupid=1305120599331881&rlsatarget=pla-4585169654799852&abcId=9300541&merchantid=87779

not cheap - but maybe (!) safer than from elsewhere

The battery is bespoke and has very low capacity and power. The controller is bespoke and very low power. The torque sensor is very hard to replace if you get any problems with it. Basically, the whole bike is shite. It's low power, low range and virtually impossible to fix just so that somebody can have a bit of vanity to pretend that their bike isn't electric.

My advice is to uninstall all the electrics except the motor, fit a normal pedal sensor, controller and battery, then you have an ebike that will last for years and give the power and range you want. Resist any temptation to go for high speed because the brakes are absolute shite too and cannot deal with electric bike speeds.

So apart from that you'd recommend it?;)
Yes. They might be a good choice if you're totally vain, weigh 7 stone and can afford four of them so that you can have standing replacements for when each one breaks down, bearing in mind that the waiting ones will breakdown if you leave them too long without use, so probably a good idea to rotate them in use.

They're also pretty good if you want to grow some broad or runner beans, or if you want to start a reef in your pond, but take out the battery first to avoid poisoning the fish.

According to Amazon's current listing, it's a KT LCD-07 display. Presumably a KT controller too then? It's a 36v system, so if replacement in-frame batteries aren't available, there should be nothing to stop the poster using a generic frame or rack mount battery from Yose etc?
