Spanish unemployment figures out today....25%. That is a staggering 1 in 4 out of work, and 400,000 since Christmas. There is a high police presence around the town and they cleared out a load of East European squatters from a block when we arrived, but pleased to say no incidence and amount of police make it at least feel safe...

right! 4 weeks no incidents of inconsiderate driving or near misses until today, was nearly had of the bike by a large motorhome who refused to cross the centre line and would much rather have me in the gutter.Every vehicle gives you a wide berth over here...but guess what? yes it was a UK van and he had bikes on rear rack! I tried to catch him to have frank exchange of views but he was gone.

Loving it here and staying on for a few weeks.......

It's the youngsters figure that is truly shocking, up again and now at 52% there. Little wonder they have a serious youth crime problem, what alternative do those kids have?

started heading back today...Not best pleased as will miss the wonderful weather, safe cycling and cheap cost of living. My wife was over for the weekend and brought my new contour roam mini dvd cam. So once I learn how to load stuff i will be able to show you shot of the old boy on site I was on, with his Sparta petrol bike...much quieter and less smelly then the small engined scooters you see and hear everywhere...I thought it was lovely!lol
