Blimey four months dragging your feet and now you are in a bit of a hurry.

You need to be looking at 14.5ah batteries or more imho.

Sansung 29e great cells as long as you don't abuse them by de-restricting the speed limit to much and don't use to much current 15 -17a max should be fine.
Make sure it will fit your frame inc 20 odd mm to lift on/off the cradle.
Ordered this one in the end. Not sure when it will arrive. One thing I've noticed with these type of batteries is the bracket has the fixing holes at the top. Most bikes water bottle bracket fixing holes are near the bottom of the down tube. So basically the bracket looks like it would fit if you turned it upside down!

I think battery connections would be a problem with the bracket upside down. Gravity is part of a good connection on these. Might be worth an extra bungee or similar to push the battery up, It would be fiddly to mount/dismount the battery too (might not matter if you plan to charge on the bike).

Yes I won't be fixing it upside down just for waterproofing sake. I would of thought there were loads of adapters out there for such things but I don't think there is. I've managed to find this but not sure if it's long enough. https://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-dura-aceultegra-di2-battery-mount-adapter/?lang=en&curr=GBP&dest=1&sku=5360319518&kpid=5360319518&utm_source=google&utm_term=&utm_campaign=Shopping+-+All+Products&utm_medium=base&utm_content=mckv|svtoIRX4i_dm|mcrid|295292317327|mkw||mmt||mrd|5360319518uk|mslid||&mkwid=svtoIRX4i_dm&pcrid=295292317327&prd=5360319518uk&pgrid=58852352866&ptaid=pla-523212774938&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmpb0BRCBARIsAG7y4zb1h91TK0KpHD_mNFvW0msVFAl-9dJVSfQWaJrqbSEh0F7Oud1HYc8aAsPFEALw_wcB

The usual solution is to drill small holes further up the tube and use rivnuts. (I haven't tried this myself.)

The lack of adaptors may be because that approach makes them unnecessary, or because there are so many different scenarios that it loads of different ones would be needed.

I would of thought just a long bar with holes all the way up would good. Cut to length if needed. I'll have to have a look in local DIY shop. I'm certainly not drilling holes in the downtime.
