its a pretty standard threadless headset, with a slightly fancy adjustable stem that i dont really need given the setting ive got it on... if i was worrying about grammes on this bike i would replace it with a lighter simpler one, i wont because this bike is more for comfort and very comfy it is...
i'm holding myself back from fitting more forward set aggressive flat handlebars (plus ergon gr2 grips) as the trekking style ones work well in powered mode. they will not be so good when 100% human power is the only thing available as they dont really suppport out of the saddle or low profile riding very well. will see how i go as the miles pass by.
