We hope that you're happy now. I'm sure you will be. If you're not happy with the KT controller, you can send it to me and I'll reimburse every expense associated with the purchase and shipping to me. I would never advise anybody to do anything that might put them in a detrimental situation, and I'm happy to put my money where my mouth is.OK so I've ordered a battery and bag, a KT controller, LCD and PAS.
I HOPE YOU'RE ALL VERY HAPPY NOW!

You are a star, I was only kidding, I'm sure it will all work out great. But be warned, I'm going to be coming to YOU for advice on how to set up all the settings for the KT system. They might as well be written in Hieroglyphics as far as I'm concerned. We hope that you're happy now. I'm sure you will be. Not sure if serious. That's the Yosepower kit which was posted in the UK I believe.Crikey, that was quick! China Post?
Yes, I guess. I can always sell some bits on eBay or keep them in my shed with my huge box-o-bike-bits.£134 is pretty cheap even if you just use the motor wheel
9 times out of ten, I've done nothing to the settings, but since the police have started cracking down, I wanted mine to be completely legal, so set p4=1 and c4=3 gives 4 mph start assist plus throttle acts as a power boost to give instant level 5 when you press it, which saves a lot of messing about with buttons when you need a burst of power or max power for as long as you want to hold the throttle, like when going up a steep hill. You are a star, I was only kidding, I'm sure it will all work out great. Did you notice the on/off power that I mentioned above?OK so a new day, the sun is shining, time to open the Yosepower box.
These were the contents - minus the motor wheel and the 9 pin extension cable, the reasons for which shall become apparent shortly.
Most of these parts I have no actual use for, I don't use throttles or brake sensors plus I have my stuff arriving from TBK soon. I guess it either goes on eBay or gets added to my box of bits.

I emailed Yosepower before I ordered and specifically asked if the rim was 406 because I wanted to fit 20x2.0 tyres. They replied, the tyres "should" fit. To be fair they did attach a picture of the rim dimensions which were within 406 parameters.
On getting the wheel out of the box, it says right there on the rim - 406!

This is all the labelling you get on the motor, so not UK legal then!

So once again I have had to make my own label, which will be getting attached to the motor toot suite.

So, I observed that there are two M5 rivnuts on the frame in a very useful place, so just for fun I stripped all the electrics (bar the motor) from my Trek and fitted them to the Carrera. These leaves all the Yosepower bits unused (apart from the 9 pin extension cable, which I had to use on the Carrera) which may help if I come to sell them.

I had one of these Wolf Tooth mounts in my box of bits, which enabled me to attach the battery cradle to the frame. The Wolf Tooth is attached by two screws, the battery is attached to cradle by three screws. I think that if this was a permanent job, I would also add cable ties or velcro straps to fix the battery cradle to frame more securely.

One slight problem is the fork drop outs are nearly horizontal, so I was not able to create much of a drip-loop. Doesn't really matter, I don't cycle on rainy days anyway.

So, I took it out for a test drive to the local park and it all works really well, who knew 20" bikes could be such fun?
![]()
This is about as folded as the bike gets, and the battery can easily be removed as well of course. So not exactly a folder any more then but still much easier to get in and out of a car than a full size mountain bike.

And, anyway, when my box of goodies arrives from TBK and gets fitted it will be back to a full folder again.
Yes!It's engraved as an AKM250 although I agree that adding a 'W' would have been helpful.
Emm...to be fair, it felt exactly the same as it does on my Trek. I've never known anything different to compare it with. I will be able to answer this question better when I get my KT kit.Did you notice the on/off power that I mentioned above?
There is no problem with the rim. As you will know, 20" wheels come in two sizes 406 (far fatter tyres) and 451 (for skinny tyres). I learnt this from Peter.Bridge because he says the Carrera Intercity Disc 9 has 451 rims which only accept skinny tyres. (I did not know that 406 meant millimetres).I don't get the problem with the rim. You asked for 406mm, they confirmed 406mm, 406 mm arrived, but you can't use it?
Neither did I, Neither would Plod.I didn't even notice the bottom bit. The first 250 might be coincidence.

To add to the above, I just read the email from Yose Power (Joey) again and his actual words were, "I think it will fit" (the 2.0 tyre).I don't get the problem with the rim. You asked for 406mm, they confirmed 406mm, 406 mm arrived, but you can't use it?
Indeed you can.
