The battery has the dreaded trapezium shaped connector on it, which is the one used by others on systems that have CANbus comms.

It would be useful to know a bit more about the torque sensor behaviour, and the choice of assistance levels, if any. Is it a simple on/off torque detector, or a genuine proportional response to rider input?

Also battery looks bespoke and is rather small, and 9kg? How does it manage to be that heavy with such a small battery?

Surely 9kg is the weight of the whole kit? Even that would seem a lot, perhaps not lightweight afterall...

I could have been clearer! Must be a chunky motor wheel. The battery should be comfortably less than 2kg.

This cassette integrated Torquesensor from Kclamber which is also used by "YOSE" is in my eyes the best solution for e-bikerider, all my 4-bikes are outfitted with this sensor.
Big bonus is, nothing to do with the bottombracket anymore which makes ebike-build way easier.

7-byte or 8-byte makes a difference if your Motor is outfitted with Motor-temp.
U-art or can-bus doesn´t make any difference, I have both in my bikes.
Sensor is available in various protocol and for Simano and Sram-Eagle and other´s.

The most important point for those sensors is the software that is uploaded to the controller and at my job as Lishui-employee who rides many different bike from various bike-manufacturer I come always across a lot of questionable Software (my opinion).
I was not happy with the software which was provided by my colleagues to me so I talked to our software department again and again untill I was satisfied with it and it cost my colleagues a lot of effort to made me happy

Many motors on the market are simply to noisy or can´t take 12-speed so I´m happy with the shengyi-x2-Leadeer/Lishui motor and my 12 speed shimano.
The 2,1 kg Aikema is in my opinion also good but for me with my 140kg simply to weak
I have already 8 different Motors tested with those sensor in my bike.
