On/Off Switch

I was going to fit a thumb throttle with the big red on/off switch but it is big has battery LEDs and looks ugly on my Moulton with just a plain thumb throttle. I need a kill switch as there is no cutout brake.

I have now fitted a smaller throttle only controller like on my Brompton.

So now I need a handle bar on/off switch.

Was thinking about one of these

This is the best/most subtle I have found, though I can't find one anywhere except at the Electric Transport Shop for £35!

The only trouble with switches of these types, especially rocker switches, is water ingress. This was a problem with the twistgrip mounted light switch on eZee bikes at one time, for which I posted these solutions online.

I have used one of those for a couple of years to switch off the pedelec funtion; it does the job and seems robust.

Hi Jerry,

We have combined throttle light switches which could be adapted for your purpose. The cable is terminated with a 5 way JST connector. £25 including delivery.

This bike does not really go out a lot in the wet so does not have to be quite as waterproof as my daily commute Brompton

Maybe a kill switch would do the job. Small, waterproof and just hit it to kill power ?
